Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa in Pasikuda

A long awaited destination. We were warmly welcomed by the hotel with flower garlands and check in process was quick. Served with a nice welcome drink (Kinda slushie).

Rooms were fqcilitated with all basic amenities and equipped with a very spacious bathroom and a nice balcony with pool/beach view. They have one of the nicest swimming pool overlooking breathtaking eastern beach and sea. The beach also nice and clean.

Buffet was served for both dinner and breakfast. One thing I have noticed that the food were less spicy than usual. I am a spicy food lover and others may have no issue with that. Buffet spread was average.

Had a very nice time enjoying the sea breeze. Staff is kind and attentive. Special thanks must go to Mr. Thilan and Mr. Siddikiya at hotel front office.

We visited the hotel for a full board package in February 2025. Their welcome was very special. They welcomed us with a mal maala and placed a pottu on our foreheads. Then they provided us with frozen passion fruit. Personally, I did not like that very much as I prefer a cool drink. Later, the manager came and gave us a brief introduction about the history of the hotel and the activities we could do around the area.

After that, they guided us to our rooms. The rooms were really good and spacious. The room and the washroom were almost the same size and quite large, with all the facilities including a bathtub.

When it comes to meals, the Saturday lunch buffet was good. As Google mentions, this is a 4-star hotel, and I think the meals were acceptable for that category. There were not many varieties, but all the necessary items were available. I noticed a delay in refilling the buffet items, but that only happened during the night buffet (for food 4/5).

The staff were very friendly and I have nothing to complain about them. The front office, restaurant staff, pool staff, and everyone else did their jobs perfectly with a smile on their faces every time. That was remarkable.

The hotel is very beautiful and the view is incredible throughout the day. Everything about the hotel and the environment was absolutely good. We were also able to spend some time enjoying the beach.

We checked out at 12 pm, but the hotel team allowed us to stay within the hotel premises until we arranged our transportation. They also arranged washroom and changing room facilities for us even after we checked out.

The staff is truly exceptional. When I lost a golden ring on the beach, everyone, from the chefs to the pool boys, went out of their way to help me find it. They worked tirelessly and were able to recover it, all without asking for anything in return.
Not only this, but they were very kind and caring since we stepped foot in the hotel.

This was our second time at the Maalu Maalu Resort and spa. We were greeted warmly and felt very welcome. The rooms were quite spacious and comfortable, and the gentle sound of the waves was relaxing. Chamara, the Front Office Manager, walked with us to our room and showed all the necessary details. We decided to take dinner at the Seafood restaurant, and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The food was delicious, and the staff there gave us the best attention. It was a memorable experience for the two of us.

We had a wonderful honeymoon stay at Maalu Maalu Resort and Spa, and it truly made our trip special and unforgettable. Our room was beautifully prepared, and received a complimentary fruit basket.

The pool area and beach were both stunning and well maintained, creating the perfect setting to relax. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional hospitality, the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, providing excellent service from beginning to end.

The food was delicious, and overall, we had an amazing experience. Definitely recommend Maalu Maalu to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway.

This resort was breathtaking and had the most amazing food. So yummy. The infinity pool was just mesmerizing and they had unique chalets as well. The inside of the chalet had a large bathroom and the bedroom was not that much spacious but it was cozy and nice. I was so in love with the hotel but One thing I experienced was the bad smell that came out of the washroom as the room and the bathroom was kinda connected through a door. We informed the necessary parties about this and they came to fix the smell but the bad smell was still there. That was the only negative thing that I encountered. We went snorkeling in the morning and got to see the most insane beautiful unrealistic sunset that i have ever seen as the sky was blood red and orange. I wish I could capture that moment but couldn’t as my phone battery died. I would love to visit this hotel again as this was that good.

The whole experience was truly amazing. Staff, food and most of all staff were very accommodating. The manager looked after us every day and even made puris for me at breakfast. Best place to visit. Beach and pool were idilic. Will definitely come again for a relaxing break.

A fantastic hotel in a dreamlike location! The pool with a view of the sea is absolutely breathtaking, the entire resort is beautifully maintained, and the beach is clean and stunning. The staff were consistently warm and helpful – especially Ruchi, who gave our children an unforgettable experience. He lovingly crafted flower crowns with them, and together they even built a miniature "Maalu Maalu Hotel" using natural materials. Truly heartwarming! The food was excellent, especially the buffet, offering a delicious mix of international and local cuisine. Breakfast and dinner were definite highlights – sometimes accompanied by a violinist, which created a special atmosphere. A perfect place for families to relax, enjoy nature, and feel completely taken care of. We will definitely be back!
