Description

Eco-hotel in the resort of Passikudah, built in the style of traditional Sri Lankan fishing villages. It is possible to conduct wedding ceremonies, including the traditional style of Sri Lanka.

Location: on the North-Eastern coast of Sri Lanka, Passikudah beach, 300 km from Colombo international airport. The distance to Polonnaruwa: 72 km, Dambulla: 138 km to Kandy: 210 km transfer from the airport for about 6 hours.

Consists of 2-storey Chalet.

The hotel has 40 rooms.

Beach: public sandy beach in 50 m from the hotel, the first coastal line. On the beach umbrellas, chairs, mattresses: free of charge. Beach towels: free of charge. Poolside umbrellas, chairs, mattresses: free of charge. Pool towels: free of charge.

This is an awesome Resort located in Passikuda, east coast of Sri Lanka. Free Wifi and Free breakfast are available here. Air conditioned premises available. An ideal place to spend with family or with friends. Range of food items and beverages available. Also, food freshness is always there. Customer care is excellent too. Spacious cabana units, outdoor pool, spa, coral collection are things special here. Bit expensive but, now rates are reasonable now.
Big space available for parking here. Wheelchair accessible entrance available. No wheelchair accessible parking available.

We received a grand reception upon arriving, the staff was attentive and friendly but mind you we were the only guest at the hotel that day.
I appreciate them upgrading us to a family suite and accepting our early arrival.
The places does look a little worn out over the years especially the rooms. Rooms are quite spacious but I wish they were a little more comfortable (i.e have a rug /carpet or a sofa) and improve the ambience, after all its a suite.
The food was what let us down. We were anticipating a buffet but unfortunately its not possible for a few guest. But a set menu is also alright but it wasn't tasty in this case. The food lacked both quality and quantity.
This review is of course unreliable because we were the only guests that day so naturally they'd have to adjust to serve 4 guest, but they did do a good job except for the food.

Pasikuda is beautiful tourist destination and Maalu Maalu resort is a wonderful beach front hotel in Pasikuda. The hotel and surrounding are filled amazing photographic sceneries. The hotel was not crowded during our stay and we have enjoyed the infinity pool and hotel premises very well.
We could walk from the hotel towards Pasikuda fishery harbor and Pasikuda public beach. It was worth to walk over the beach during sunrise and sunset.
The staff of the hotel was friendly and food was amazing. They had nice breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets.🤩🐠🐬

Hotel was Awesome
Staff was very polite and attentive. Staff was professional in their approach and accurate in their dealings with us.
The hotel was elegant, spacious and the room service was excellent. Rooms are Lovely very comfortable.
Meals are delicious, and the choice of various foods was appreciated. Especially I want to thank for arranging an excellent baby meal for my kid.
We would visit again and will recommend others.

The pool is warm, it is a quiet place. The beach is clean. The food is good
Frequent shortages of electricity and water (a weak pressure , the lack of cold water). No Russian channels ?or at least children's channels . The water in the room provided only at check-in. All remaining time must buy for 200 rupees. Compensate with compliment of Spa "30 min massage". Baby mattress in the crib the whole obasan. A request to change did not respond. Housing the old. Finishing average and has been overwritten. The lights in the room as razetok horror as little . Dinner for one person at $ 25 . I think that the price is not sootvetsvuet quality . ?

This hotel is not up to the 5 star standard now. It is like a cheap inn. Biggest issue is food. No taste at all. Almost all time our dining table wasn't ready and had to wait. Services they offer are very slow. Staff is friendly. And indoor and outdoor harsh white lighting are annoying, specially at night. Not a single yellow lights even in rooms.
