Karpaha Sands in Pasikuda

Karpaha Sands is without doubt the best place I have visited in Sri Lanka. Every detail is thoughtful and luxurious - from the stylish interior design of the villas to the chic details in the beach and bar area. The place is undoubtedly well run by GM Umberto. A special thank to you Namal, my butler, who in the sweetest and most service-minded way took such good care of me. And to Balesh and Satheesh for excellent cleaning of my villa twice a day. Everyone should treat themselves with a visit to Karpaha Sands.

Fabulous. We didn’t know there would be so much glam in glamping! A heavenly oasis of calm and luxury. A real treat. Fab food, fab staff, fab location. They even set up the library for us to watch the T20 cricket and were sweet to us when we beat them! Would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you

In top 3 of places I’ve stayed anywhere. Stunning location and beautiful luxury beach villas (whilst they are canvas they’re as far from camping as you can imagine!)- we entered through magical entrance with a fishing boat, frangipani scented water, lush landscaping to the warm welcome from manger Umberto and the team. We were introduced to our butler Malshan who showed us to our beach house and checked us in there. Each beach villa has a verandah, its own beach loungers outside and access to any other loungers on the beach. The villas are equipped with sofa, 4 poster bed (and we had additional bed), a stunning bathroom and an outside shower among lush plants. Yoga mat were also made available to us so we could stretch at sunrise under the palms. We enjoyed amazing service from start to finish, and the most incredible food with authentic Sri Lankan dishes (alongside other world cuisines, which we didn’t eat). We had curry for every meal, which the chefs adapted to meet our love of spicy sri Lankan food, all served up on the verandah on upper floor with stunning views of the pool and of beach among the willowy coconut palms. Every member of staff gave excellent service. Umberto arranged for us to have a special meal for our last evening of fish curry and cashew nut curry alongside 8 other veggie curries. It’s a stunning setting- 15km plus of uninterrupted palms and sandy beach with no other hotels in sight. A peaceful place to relax, and enjoy the the stunning setting at Karpaha. a magical last stop or main stop in Sri Lanka (we came here first and have been disappointed with everything since!). We had 90 min so treatment- beautiful spa area and wonderful treatments. Everything felt personal and it felt like we were leaving friends. I’m in 2 minds recommending this hotel, as I intend to come back as often as possible! Thank you for such an incredible 4 days! I wish we could have stayed for longer.

Unforgettable, amazing, paradise. Glamping on another level. Complete luxury with every need looked after. Our whole family loved everything about this place. The kids highlight was the outside waterfall shower. The beach was beautiful and we loved watching the fishermen on the beach. All the staff were lovely.

We’ve just spent 10 days recharging at this beautiful resort – what a stunning and peaceful place. A heartfelt thank you to Umberto and his wonderful team for making our stay so special. We stayed in one of the beachfront Pallams, which offered a perfect blend of indoor and outdoor space. The highlight was definitely the uninterrupted view of the ocean and the spectacular sunrises each morning – absolutely breathtaking. The food was consistently excellent, with a great variety and a well-balanced mix of Western and Sri Lankan dishes. Every meal felt thoughtful and delicious, with something to suit every mood. This was our fourth visit to Sri Lanka, and although we were fortunate enough to stay for 10 days, it’s well worth spending at least three nights here to truly enjoy the beach and relax into the pace of the resort. A special mention goes to the magical cinema under the stars – such a unique and peaceful way to enjoy a film. We left feeling refreshed and grateful, and would return in a heartbeat.

This hotel was one of the best hotels we stayed in Sri Lanka. Everything was just perfect: the beach, the restaurant, the service and all amenities. We stayed in a private garden villa , the room was super clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast had a big variety of healthy meals, lunch and dinner menu is very good, has a big choice of fresh fish and seafood. The service was just excellent! Highly recommend to go to cinema under the stars and enjoy a movie on the beach.

This is a beach villa. You can see the sunrise over the Indian Ocean when you wake up! It's quiet and you won't be disturbed! Breakfast is ordered and tastes good. The location is relatively remote, so you basically eat in the hotel.

Complete delight) Starting from the staff who greeted us at the entrance to the hotel. I didn’t want to leave at all, but we were able to book only for one day; there were no villas available for other dates. The general manager met us and we had a personal assistant.
Everything is so beautiful, rooms with a private courtyard are more private than those with access to the sea. The interior is very stylish, a cool area for tea and a shower outside, and the most important thing is the presence of a bathroom) In the main building there is an area for working on a computer and a children's area - an incredibly beautiful room. There are many photo zones on the beach, there is a bar near the pool, and waiters serve drinks. The breakfast is perfect, the presentation and the dishes themselves are top class. We liked the dinner, we ordered a dish from the chef, it depends on the catch that day. We had lobsters. Everywhere they give compliments - coconuts upon arrival, shrimp by the pool, detox drinks for breakfast, etc. We travel a lot, but this particular hotel has sunk into our hearts. Probably, it’s also a matter of emotional attitude towards each guest. The general manager, Umberto, an Italian, accompanied us along with the rest of the staff. We'll definitely come back again.

Karpha sands is great place. You can have different hotel experience. There have unique values and design. But reaching the place is something difficult. Somehow itself was different experience to us...
