Stayed for a night after landing in Colombo. Hasini checked us in and was very friendly and welcoming; we were given all the information we would need during our stay. I booked this hotel for my parents. They are in their 50s. They said, We enjoyed a lot. Staff was so nice and kind. There were side events on Saturday. Food was great. The room is not like in the photos. We couldn’t see the sea from the bed. But the room was comfortable and all that. We will go there again.

The room initially had a rather musty smell, so I informed the staff. They quickly resolved the situation and replaced me with a new room. I was very impressed with the beautiful view and the ocean view. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. I'll definitely be back if I have the chance.

The hotel has a great sea view, facing the Indian Ocean, and there's even a small train passing right by the entrance. During morning rush hour, people were even hanging off the train doors! The hotel is amazing! There is a swimming pool with unparalleled sunset views, and hermit crab children can be seen everywhere. A fantastic hotel right on the beach. We had a wonderful room with a view of the sea. A beautiful garden with a huge pool. The warm and friendly staff made our stay unforgettable. We’d particularly like to mention Tarushi, Ahinsa and Thejani. We’ll never forget their service.

The service was excellent, warm but not overly so. The environment is right by the sea, quiet and secluded, with a lagoon for swimming. The lagoon is full of small fish, occasionally some of them brightly colored. The infinity pool faces the southern Indian Ocean.

My room was pleasant. It was a reasonable size, with a comfortable bed. The foyer and seating areas always seemed crowded. The only place to relax was at the pool. Pedestrian access to the hotel is problematic. It is surrounded by busy roads and crossing them is not for the faint hearted.

One of the best hotel and food was amazing

Hotels in Sri Lanka generally have low value for money, and most of the well-known heritage hotels have outdated facilities. In comparison, Golden Crown is a relatively new hotel with fairly complete facilities. The location is good and the lobby decoration is very unique. It happened to be Valentine's Day when we checked in, and red balloons were placed on the bed, which was very warm.

It suited its purpose to be close to the airport, but otherwise there is not much to do in the area neither in the hotel. I would not stay longer than necessary. The hotels facilities are basic, rooms a bit outdated, though gym is quite good. Pool is nice and breakfast tasty and good variety

A nice starting point for Sri Lanka. Super convenient from Colombo intl airport. Really nice beach area just past the pool. Great service, super helpful staff!
