Honestly, this kind of setup made me feel a bit tense and unable to relax. I was looking forward to the sea view when I woke up, but the weather wasn't great that day; neither the sky nor the sea were very blue
The advantage of the large floor-to-ceiling windows wasn't really utilized, which was a bit disappointing. After leaving the hotel, the street outside was full of tuk-tuks, emitting a strong diesel smell
We arrived in the middle of the night, and as soon as we entered the hotel, there were two layers of security checks: first, military personnel with sniffer dogs, and then the hotel's own security
The hotel facilities are great, but the atmosphere was a bit tense. Overall, the hotel itself is good; the rooms and service are all up to par. However, this experience felt a bit strange

Shang Palace is as delicious as ever, and the chef even came out to greet us, which was lovely! Our room faced the sea, and we enjoyed two beautiful sunsets! The second floor has direct access to the mall, with all the tourist-favorite brands located near the hotel
Five star hotel in Galle Road. Have a nice open wedding hall. Service is great. Food is good and tasty. Valet parking available. Clean and well maintained. Supportive and friendly staff.
Great experience nothing much to add.. had a rain calamity which exposed the age of the property but the hotel did well to resolve it to satisfaction.

My room was quite large for a single occupant, with good view of galle face and the ocean beyond. I only had breakfast at the hotel which had nice spread. The staff were very friendly and helpful too.
It was 8 degree. Different experience. I'd been sailing in the lake for over 2 hours. Great fun. Tasty food add more value to it

The hotel has two swimming pools which were clean and relaxing, and the beautiful beach right in front is perfect for sunset walks. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always with a smile
The location was very beautiful, adjuscent to the sea. The sight of the sea was welcoming. We booked a suite for 4 persons. The view of the see from the room was fantastic
With our request of change the room (for better sight of the sea). they cleaned another room very quickly. Nishantha on attending to this is commendable. Anyway, 'earler the better' rule is applicable to the buffet
Amazing Stay at Long Beach Resort! I had a good experience at Long Beach Resort. The service was top-notch, and the food was absolutely marvelous with a great variety to choose from
The sandy beach is gently sloping, the sea is warm, and the water is clear. You'll see a lot of families and children on the beach. It's definitely a family-friendly hotel, with about 80% Russian guests
We absolutely loved the Araliya Hotel. It's a great hotel with a fantastic beach, sand, and sea
It has all you need for a relaxing vacation. The rooms are spacious and clean, and all have sea views. The bathroom is also quite large. Nearby, there's a street with restaurants and shops offering good prices
They have excellent sun loungers exclusively for guests, and the beachfront area is guarded, so you don't have to worry about outsiders taking them. The beach bar/restaurant is superb, with excellent service
They always have cold beer, delicious cocktails, fresh fruit, and fish. Every day, they'd bring out freshly caught tuna and announce it to the whole beach, which was quite a highlight

All beaches in Sri Lanka state, so often swimming in the ocean, you can meet locals who offer some trips or just a trip to the city
First, I must say the staff here is amazing. They were friendly and helpful from the moment we called to make the reservation, especially Miss Senaya at the front desk, who went out of her way to assist us
The food was delicious, the room super clean, and the staff service excellent. The pool is amazing, and overall, the experience was top-notch from start to finish

The front desk was super nice and suggested that we upgrade to the ocean side instead of the railway side, because the railway side is a little noisy when the train passes by
The hotel could use a little renovation, but since everything was well maintained, it didn’t affect our stay at all. Overall, we had a wonderful experience!
It was a reasonable size, with a comfortable bed. The foyer and seating areas always seemed crowded. The only place to relax was at the pool. Pedestrian access to the hotel is problematic

I recently stayed at Vivanta Colombo Airport Gardens and had a mixed experience. The pool area is absolutely fabulous, offering a great place to relax
Fully accessible if you have reduced mobility, a quick ride from the airport and full of the hospitality and charm that Sri Lanka is known for. The grounds are beautiful and the food at breakfast was delightful
However, the pricing felt a bit steep for what was offered, especially given the disappointing room view which was just overlooking buildings, contrary to the picturesque images advertised
I particularly liked that there was a giant superstore right opposite the entrance, perfect for picking up things you might have forgotten on your way there or goodies for your trip back

Morden midrange Hotel with a very clean and comfortable room, in particular the bed. We slept very well as we arrived Colombo midnight. A Rooftop swimming pool with good views
We thoroughly enjoyed the food especially the varieties and emphasis on local cuisine, as well as the activities including yoga, tennis, beach, etc. The room was kept clean and fresh at all times
Lifeguards on the beach proactively offered towels, and some staff even braved the rain to climb coconut trees just to deliver fresh king coconuts! This attentive yet unobtrusive care made the entire stay exceptionally comfortable
The view from the hotel was spectacular. There’s a lookout point our nature walk guide Gihan showed us where you can enjoy an amazing view of the cape and sea
There is a private beach but the sea is quite rough with strong waves, however one can walk along the shore to the public beach where you can enter easier the water
This resort is an experience: from the welcome to good bye rituals. You are surrounded by nature, flora and fauna are in perfect harmony. You can have nature walks, play some tennis, badminton, table tennis or pool
We especially loved the complimentary yoga sessions and the beautiful pool area. Another highlight was seeing animals wandering around the property — it made the experience feel even more special and unique
In parting, we were not charged in the bar for cocktails - a gift from the hotel to friends)), the Reception is also courteous and attentive, there was a delay in transfer and it was seen as sincerely worried about the discrepancy
I stayed here for two nights and found the experience to be average. The location is definitely the best part of this hotel—you can’t beat it for convenience

Visited Colombo during off-peak season so we managed to visit the city with less crowd
Views from any sea-facing room is incredible for its price - slight blocking with 2 towers in front but you can get a better unblocked view if you go for Premium tier rooms
He took the time to explain the differences between each tier, accommodated to my budget constraints, and brought me to each room (empty ones of course) for a viewing before committing to an upgrade
This place has a really nice view of the sea. Don't miss the sun-set if you're here around 6pm. Nice hotel and highly recommended. Rates are a little bit high!

It felt like staying in a home and was so comfortable for all three of us. Waking up and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean is something that we will not forget! The food at the restaurant was amazing
It's a small boutique hotel very close to the sea. We were a family of 3 and we were very satisfied with our recent staying. Architecture is great and the location superb

I have nothing against locals, but there are just too many of them!!! You have to walk even further from the hotel, where the hotel grounds begin again. The poor entry into the sea forces guests to swim in the pool
Even though the hotel is on the beachfront, the entry into the sea right on the shore is terrible. There's no entry!!! It's all riffles and small corals. If you want to swim, you have to go left along the shore
The pool is small and shallow. After using it the first time, I didn't feel like swimming there again. There are plenty of them on all the beaches on the island, but here there were too many
I dropped off my laundry, and they returned it well-washed and ironed for next to nothing!!!))) Overall, the hotel would have left a completely positive impression, BUT there were a few things that were a bit disappointing:
