South Beach Villa@69 in Bentota

I very strongly advice everyone against this place! Sri Lanka offered us a beautiful holiday, but this was extreme; We booked 4 rooms. We went to our rooms early, and in the morning, three of us were robbed of our money. Inside the room, while we were sleeping! Ridiculous. We are totally sure it was the hotel manager. He had access, and there was nobody else there. Crazy, we were so mad. It is cheap, and now you know why. Please go the next hotel.

I am a fussy traveller and under normal circumstances I would not have been happy to stay at Villa 69. It is clear that the hotel is in dire need of a refurbishment. They do not offer wifi and the rooms could do with a make over. On the other hand the room was clean and I had a great balcony with the most stunning view of the beach and the Indian Ocean. Furthermore the hotel manager and his staff are great. I had the most beautiful breakfast in the stunning garden on a daily basis. The beach is out of this world beautiful, but it is advisable not to swim in the sea due to the very rough current. The hotel also has a small pool, which was cleaned several times during my stay.

Food was worse we ate because of the sake of eating and the Building looks not maintained ,the pool is not bigger than a small pond,pool water was unclear and messy. not reasonable for the payed amount. almost the experience is not good room was clean and spacious that was the only pro!
