Entire stay was awesome. The staff was vwry friendly and helpful. We wwre warmly welcomed by the reception staff. They accommodate us in a very good room. The room was cleaned and well arranged. Pool are was very relaxing. Didnt felt like crowded. They had a huge garden and it was really calm and i think Thaala is one of the best relaxing places in sri lanka.

I recently stayed atThaala for a weekend getaway, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the lobby had a cozy, inviting atmosphere.

The room was absolutely stunning—spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated with modern touches. I was especially impressed by the comfortable bed, high-quality linens, and the attention to detail in the amenities. It had everything I needed: a well-stocked minibar, a large flat-screen TV, and fast Wi-Fi. The bathroom was spotless, with luxurious toiletries and a fantastic shower.

The hotel’s location is perfect—close to major attractions, but tucked away enough to offer a quiet, peaceful environment. I took advantage of the on-site restaurant, which offered a delicious breakfast with a wide variety of options, including fresh pastries and locally sourced ingredients. The staff at the restaurant were equally attentive and provided excellent service.

I also had the chance to enjoy the hotel’s spa, which was the ultimate relaxation experience. The massage was heavenly, and the spa’s tranquil atmosphere really helped me unwind.

Overall, my stay at Thaala exceeded all expectations. It was an unforgettable experience, and I can’t wait to return on my next visit to the area. Highly recommend!

The staff were truly wonderful : warm, attentive, and always going out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable and well taken care of. The service throughout the resort was excellent.

The food was a solid 10/10. There was an impressive spread and variety, ranging from Western cuisine to authentic Sri Lankan dishes, along with a great selection of Indian options. Every single dish was packed with flavour, and the quality and consistency were outstanding.

A special mention to Sanjana from Guest Relations / Front Office, who checked us in and regularly checked on us throughout our stay. She was extremely friendly, courteous, and genuinely caring.
Special thanks also to the F&B team, especially Chef Nalaka (Executive Chef) and Vikum, our waiter, who were all incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed at all times.
Ruchira and Theekshana at the Front Office ensured a smooth and efficient checkout, processing our payment quickly and without any delays.

All in all, it was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend Thaala Bentota for a relaxing and memorable stay. We will definitely be returning.

Thaala provided us with a great stay. The staff were extremely welcom and polite. Every requestwas handled quickly and professionally. The room was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the peaceful and surrounding of the property. The food quality was good and the service staff were alwasy smiling and friendly. The hotel felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. We felt relaxed and well cared for. Overall it was a satisfying experience.

Our stay at Taala Bentota was simply amazing. From the moment we arrived, we felt so warmly welcomed. The special Kandyan drummer performance and the lovely flowers from the reception made it the best welcome we have ever had at any hotel. Check-in was the fastest I have experienced in a Sri Lankan hotel, and even the welcome drink and refreshing wet towels were served in record time. The staff were exceptional, always smiling and genuinely friendly. A special mention to Hansaji from the front office, who was incredibly warm and helpful throughout our stay. Even when we were leaving, most of the front office staff came out to see us off, which was so heart-touching. The food was absolutely delicious. While the spread was not as large as some other 5-star hotels, every dish was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. We enjoyed every bite. Overall, Taala Bentota gave us a stay to remember, and we would return in a heartbeat.

We choose Thaala Bentota as out last resort to a week holiday in Srilanka. The resort is a lush green, vibrant and spacious with facilities like pool, spa and gym along with beach accessible at all the times. Rooms are beach facing, cozy, clean and with basic amenities Food at chatters is good but the taste of buffet was not up to the mark. The food actually caters to guest from Europe in taste and spices so me being Asian missed the spice and salt. The non vegetarian options are more than the vegetarian ones. I could not find srilankan delicacy other than hopper. The sambal spread is good though.

If you're looking for a serene spot with outstanding service and a relaxed vibe, this resort is absolutely worth a visit.

From the moment we arrived the service was exceptional. We came to Thaala Bentota to get married. The staff were all incredibly attentive professional and friendly, they all work really hard. From the event managers (Indunil and Hiran) to the men at the pool, who provide towels etc (particularly Ajith), the room service (Saman and Tharange) who did the most amazing towel art. The food was exceptional. The Loft, a great bar with the most amazing sunsets (Naveen who works in the bar and served us our amazing wedding dinner on the beach). The planning of the wedding was perfect, the attention to detail was first class. Indunil and Hiran communicated well both before our arrival and throughout our stay. All the staff on our wedding day were wonderful. Our wedding meal and champagne breakfast were outstanding. It truly was a perfect day. The reception staff always greeted us with a lovely smile and were always very helpful. The hotel is very clean, the grounds are exceptional. There were other events during our stay and the attention to detail was superb. Nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend this hotel, whether for a few nights or for a wedding/event. The beach is 10yrds away and is beautiful. Very clean, not overcrowded at all, it is beautiful. Close by are some lovely restaurants. The train is directly outside and very easy to use. There are always sun loungers available within the grounds of the hotel and both pools were lovely. The spa is lovely and the massages (we had a back massage) were very good. We cannot thank everyone enough at Thaala Bentota for making our wedding day so memorable and how whole stay so very special.
