We visited Wirdana Resort a month ago, and it was an amazing stay! The property is calm, peaceful, and perfect for anyone looking to unwind. The staff were incredibly kind and generous, always making us feel welcome.
The suite we booked was spacious and very kid-friendly, which made our stay even more comfortable. The owner was also very kind and had friendly conversations with us. What we really appreciated was how relaxed they were about check-in and check-out times—no unnecessary fuss at all.
If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway away from the crowds and the busy city life, Wirdana Resort is the perfect choice!

Since it is a negative review, I’ll try my best to give as much detail as possible. We were 20 pax staying for one night, had 3 complete units booked on full-board basis.
Food: 1/5 - Significant improvement required. Increased pricing is better than this quality.
Location: 1/5 - The road connecting from Galle Road is very narrow, if you have a low car be careful as you might scrape the bottom due to the un-even road. Recommend to take exit from Galle Exit instead of Baddegama, way simpler and convenient.
Parking: 4/5 - Ample parking, but be careful, there’s coconut trees that might crush your car so be aware of them and avoid them when you park. Also, there is a circular thing near the entrance, be careful and keep left there - or say good bye to your front bumper.
Rooms: 0/5 - Would go negative if possible. The beds and sofas are extremely low - very unergonomic. I didn’t find one piece of furniture that was comfortable to sit on for more than 15 mins. If you are someone with back issues - avoid this place at all costs - even brushing your teeth is a pain - the sinks are extremely low.
Shower: 2/5 - Somewhat works, no hot water, just barely lukewarm water, which is better than cold water. Also, it is kind of an outdoor open roof extension to the toilet - I’m not a fan due to the leaves and dustiness in the shower area. There’s no detachable shower head to clean up the place before/after your shower either.
Staff: 4/5 - They were friendly, no trouble. Helped out where they could.

A very tranquil resort about 15-20 minutes from Galle Fort. The Balinese style villas are perfect for families for 4-6 and provided a great base for our time in Galle. We visited in the off season and we were the only guests at the hotel for two nights. Nothing was too much trouble for the team, who were very eager to please and the Sri Lankan breakfast was a stand out. But note, you need to confirm your order the night before. Very peaceful and the perfect place to wrap up a two week trip around beautiful Sri Lanka.

Amazing spot to go to unwind yourself. Food was amazing, the staff were friendly and listened to all our requests. Air conditioned rooms and amazing landscaping with a good pool. Lovely place.

We family and friends of a crowd of 30-40 visited the Wirdana Resort and it was a amazing time. Manager Nirosh and his team ensured that we were fully satisfied in every requirement we made and the late meals and other requirements were fulfilled to the maximum of every participants. The Chalets were very homely, clean, spacious and comfortable in every way. Fully recommend for a crowd of 30 - 40 to go an enjoy the stay, pool, meals and specially the hospitality of the staff.

A beautiful retreat nestled in nature and only a short walk from the beach front and plenty of restaurants in the village and a short drive from Galle. We had such a lovely family stay for a week at Wirdana. It’s a small boutique hotel with adjacent villas. The rooms are huge, and the decor is so tasteful and comfortable. The pool is wonderful and we spent many days lounging and swimming and had most of our meals at the hotel over the week; the food was amazing and the staff were all so friendly and helpful and made our holiday the special. Very recommended!

What a beautiful place, a 5 acre hidden hideaway. It is a small boutique hotel with 6 well maintained villa’s. We enjoyed the swimming pool and food very much. The staff is friendly and is really making your stay very comfortable. A place to remember

This resort is ideal for a quick getaway in Galle. It has separate villa type accomodations which has 4 rooms big living area, kitchen and a veranda. The rooms are clean and nice and the bathrooms were big clean and nice as well. Four of us stayed in a villa and we really liked the bar like kitchen setting. The swimming pool is long and really good for a night swim
