I booked this hotel for my parents. They are in their 50s. They said, We enjoyed a lot. Staff was so nice and kind. There were side events on Saturday. Food was great. The room is not like in the photos. We couldn’t see the sea from the bed. But the room was comfortable and all that. We will go there again.

The room initially had a rather musty smell, so I informed the staff. They quickly resolved the situation and replaced me with a new room. I was very impressed with the beautiful view and the ocean view. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. I'll definitely be back if I have the chance.

The hotel is amazing! There is a swimming pool with unparalleled sunset views, and hermit crab children can be seen everywhere. The service staff are very nice, and their smiling faces at all times make people feel more friendly. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean beyond expectations, and the elderly and children in the family are infinitely satisfied!

This was a beautiful hotel perfect for walking into town. Spoilt slightly by the next door funfair/concert venue in the open air. Our room however was on tbd other side and was delightful. And quiet. Room was large and well maintained. Hotel were lovely and service impeccable

The hotel isn't very big, and there's only one pool, but it wasn't crowded. Breakfast had limited options, though there were several curry dishes. There's a tiny private beach that's inaccessible at high tide. In the mornings, you can catch lots of small crabs there, which the kids loved! Galle Fort is very close by. There's also a large temple right outside the hotel, and a pretty decent-sized supermarket...

I stayed here for four days in January and could not fault it. The food was lovely, and the staff couldn’t do enough for me. They chatted to me as if they’d known me for years and were always smiling and friendly. My room was also amazing! A very nice hotel with a great design.

The hotel is amazing! The room is big and tidy, the air conditioner is strong and the beds are very comfortable. Without prior requests, to our surprise, one more bed is arranged for the 3 of us. The manager is super helpful and friendly, he recommended us a lot of nearby attractions. The location is fangastic. It was such a such a nice stay and I will definitely recommend this hotel!

The experience could not have been any more perfect. The hotel is located in a beautiful natural beach setting surrounded by palm trees. The architecture and interior design is a mixture of modernism and Sri Lankan chic, every detail considered. One could spend days on the poolside loungers enjoying the vista. Rooms are fabulous and the place is perfectly maintained. Excellent food, too. There's a beach, but sea too choppy to swim, and behind, a main road. Short rides to Unawatanu or to Thalpe itself if you aren't happy to just relax in a great place.

We came as a multigenerational group (12-82 in age) and were so well looked after by the team. The layout of the house works really well. The rooms are spacious but simple. This is a great destination, 10 minutes from the surf beaches, close to golf and 25 minutes to Galle. A small boutique hotel right on the beach in Talpe ( a shortish tuk tuk ride from Galle) . Excellent food and friendly staff. I liked the pool and the sun loungers that doubled as beds. It was comfortable to swim in the pool and get some work done during the day. The room was a bit tired, but it had a sea view. The breakfast was overly salty (they didn't offer me an alternative). Overall, it was okay for a couple of nights.

Gorgeous little hotel nestled into the small town. The staff were all absolutely lovely, the hotel and rooms were all gorgeous, super clean, and comfortable. We did yoga in the space over the restaurant our first morning which was a great start to the day! Lots of great restaurants around right on the beach! 10/10 recommend!

The room is clean and tidy, the balcony has an unbeatable view, and the ancient city is opposite. There is an infinity pool on the fourth floor, which is not big, but clean. Two very nice clean pool and sunbeds always available. The downside to this hotel is in my eyes they don't cater for UK citizens. Very good location, you can take a 10 min walk to the beach, but the hotel does not have blankets, so that's something you need to bring for youself if you need a blanket to sleep at night. They only provide a very thin bedsheet.

The hotel staff were friendly and approachable. Food from the hotel kitchen tasted good and was well priced. Rooms were clean and there was a pool just outside my room. It was possible to clearly hear people playing in the pool, or eating by the room, when I was in my room. This was not an issue for me bu if you need more privacy, I would recommend looking for a room further away from the pool.

Maybe it's due to the environmental conditions in Galle, but this place is comparable to a 100-yuan hotel back home.

I really liked the hotel; it's cozy, neat, and clean. I'd especially like to mention the staff; they were very polite, respectful, and customer-focused. The beach is very good, the ocean is usually calm and peaceful. You can find free sunbeds (for a drink or meal) or paid ones (1500 r), there’s a washroom. But they have to do something with the dogs, they pee and poo on the beach, where kids play. It’s very unhygienic (((

I am in pleasure to direct the hotel, a glamorous place of comfort and the sun kissed beach view not only, very calm and quiet environment, but also, very friendly and hospitable service by the hotel staff as well. Had a room on the top floor and it was amazing. Balcony over looked the beach. The room looked and felt clean. The cabanas on the beach were comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. We loved staying here and would come back here anytime.

It was a good stay. The room was comfortable and clean. However, there are a few things that need to be addressed. There are no plug points, except just 2, into which the bedside lamps were plugged in. No place to plug any computer or even a phone charger unless you have a multi socket adapter. Breakfast was good and generous.

Fabulous stay. Few minutes walk to the beach and many great restaurants nearby. Lovely breakfast and all staff really friendly. Powercuts were a bit of a pain but once the generator kicked in it wasn’t a problem. Breakfast was good, breakfast was until 11am & we don’t do early but we never felt rushed. Everything I wanted. Perfect location. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Very pleasant staff. Equally pleasant breakfast. And one can park one’s car directly outside. Ideal on every count.

The staff were so friendly and attentive. Helped us get a taxi to the airport and allowed for a late checkout, since no one was staying in our room after us. The rooftop terrace is the perfect place to enjoy the sunset, breeze and watch the people walking on the fort paths.

The atmosphere and the service of the staffs are very nice and we feel very confortable stay even during one night. Nest time I visit Sri Lanka, we would like to stay at Bertizan again.

The location is great. I had a perfect view of the ocean and the sunset from the balcony. The hotel is a renovated building that is 250 years old, so it has a nice atmosphere. Good location but the hotel needs a face lift. AC in the room has a loud sound, safety box was broken. Breakfast is not good and not to be considered as continental.

We were greeted very warmly, the staff is always happy to help with solving any problems. The hotel is clean, comfortable, located on the ocean. The balconies of all rooms overlook the ocean, gorgeous views, silence. A very worthy three. If we return, it will only be to this hotel.
