I booked this hotel for my parents. They are in their 50s. They said, We enjoyed a lot. Staff was so nice and kind. There were side events on Saturday. Food was great. The room is not like in the photos. We couldn’t see the sea from the bed. But the room was comfortable and all that. We will go there again.

The room initially had a rather musty smell, so I informed the staff. They quickly resolved the situation and replaced me with a new room. I was very impressed with the beautiful view and the ocean view. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. I'll definitely be back if I have the chance.

The hotel is amazing! There is a swimming pool with unparalleled sunset views, and hermit crab children can be seen everywhere. The service staff are very nice, and their smiling faces at all times make people feel more friendly. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean beyond expectations, and the elderly and children in the family are infinitely satisfied!

The hotel isn't very big, and there's only one pool, but it wasn't crowded. Breakfast had limited options, though there were several curry dishes. There's a tiny private beach that's inaccessible at high tide. In the mornings, you can catch lots of small crabs there, which the kids loved! Galle Fort is very close by. There's also a large temple right outside the hotel, and a pretty decent-sized supermarket...

This such a beautiful property in the middle of everything. It provides the perfect homebase from which to explore all the beautiful things that Galle has to offer. We weren’t staying at the hotel but as ours didn’t have a spa, we got treatments at Z Spa at this hotel. The spa is very peaceful - we managed to get a walk in pedicure. The spa therapists (Sayu and Kezang) were so lovely and so kind. Highly recommend treatments at this spa!!

Fort Bazaar is conveniently placed within Galle Fort. There are a lot of shops all around and the outer wall is only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. We loved our stay at Fort Bazaar. It's a beautiful hotel - the decor is modern and stylish throughout. The staff are welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. Highlights included great breakfasts, afternoon tea, happy hour cocktails and pedicures. The pool area provides a place to relax after exploring the fort area. We would highly recommend and hope to stay here again in the future.

The hotel is amazing! The room is big and tidy, the air conditioner is strong and the beds are very comfortable. Without prior requests, to our surprise, one more bed is arranged for the 3 of us. Rooms are fabulous and the place is perfectly maintained. Excellent food, too. There's a beach, but sea too choppy to swim, and behind, a main road. Short rides to Unawatanu or to Thalpe itself if you aren't happy to just relax in a great place.

We came as a multigenerational group (12-82 in age) and were so well looked after by the team. The layout of the house works really well. The rooms are spacious but simple. This is a great destination, 10 minutes from the surf beaches, close to golf and 25 minutes to Galle. Gorgeous little hotel nestled into the small town. The staff were all absolutely lovely, the hotel and rooms were all gorgeous, super clean, and comfortable. We did yoga in the space over the restaurant our first morning which was a great start to the day! Lots of great restaurants around right on the beach! 10/10 recommend!

The room is clean and tidy, the balcony has an unbeatable view, and the ancient city is opposite. There is an infinity pool on the fourth floor, which is not big, but clean. The room was too hot, and the air conditioner seemed to be malfunctioning, cooling down very slowly. Staying there in this nearly 40°C weather was unbearable. I'm not sure if the price of over 900 yuan is cheap or expensive.

The breakfast was great, with a variety of set menus to choose from. The hotel was beautiful. The first-floor rooms had absolutely no soundproofing; every sound was clearly audible. Movement noises from the second floor were amplified tenfold due to the wooden partitions, making it impossible to sleep all night. The bed was too soft; my back ached when I got up. The shower water wasn't hot.

Went to Tartaruga Restaurant for lunch. Restaurant is located in the beach side. Bit crowded with local and foreign tourists. It is open area dining. Table service is available and accepts both cash and cards. They have separate menus for food and beverages. Meals are extremely good and had a pleasant experience there. Highly recommended. P.s. they had only limit space for parking it was bit troublesome...

Went for dinner at the restaurant and loved it. Lovely place right on the beach. We ordered a burger and a pizza. Unfortunately my burger was a bit overcooked the first time but our waiter (in the green shirt) fixed this by bringing out a fresh burger which I found to be 100x better. The service was great overall and we would come back.

Steep hill to get into hotel but ring a bell and within a minute a tuk tuk arrives at the bottom to take you up so it’s no problem at all. So close to all restaurants / bars / cafes. Amazing place with an excellent breakfast. Worth the little $ splurge. The view is enough to keep you in the grounds all day. The beach opposite is very good with many restaurants. Our best stay in the 28 days we spent in Sri Lanka. Happily recommend.

We spent 3weeks in Sri Lanka and stayed in several hotels- Elisyum was the BEST for sure. Villa, location, service snd food really great! Swimming pool is large and comfortable. Hotel is small and delicios, you feel like at your own villa. Ocean view is fantastic.service is invisible and immediate

One of the nicest places we stayed in Sri Lanka in terms of value. Rooms are simply fantastic - excellent size, well designed. The land has direct access to the ocean and a little beach in front of it. Also has a great gym. Food is excellent here. Service is the absolutely best.

Stayed for 5 nights and it was simply incredible. Rooms were beautiful with everything you could need, air con was powerful and rooms were cleaned twice a day. One of the better properties i have ever stayed at. Food was superb

Very good location, you can take a 10 min walk to the beach, but the hotel does not have blankets, so that's something you need to bring for youself if you need a blanket to sleep at night. They only provide a very thin bedsheet.

The hotel staff were friendly and approachable. Food from the hotel kitchen tasted good and was well priced. Rooms were clean and there was a pool just outside my room. It was possible to clearly hear people playing in the pool, or eating by the room, when I was in my room. This was not an issue for me bu if you need more privacy, I would recommend looking for a room further away from the pool. 

My stay at Hotel J Unawatuna was very enjoyable and comfortable. The hotel is located in a great spot, close to the beach and main attractions, making it easy to explore Unawatuna. The staff was attentive and helpful. Although, not everyone understood what we wanted, even with a translator. We liked the pool. The grounds are well-maintained. The English breakfast was hearty and delicious. The restaurant offers both local, spicy dishes and more traditional European fare. The selection isn't particularly extensive, but you won't go hungry. Maybe it's due to the environmental conditions in Galle, but this place is comparable to a 100-yuan hotel back home.

I really liked the hotel; it's cozy, neat, and clean. I'd especially like to mention the staff; they were very polite, respectful, and customer-focused. There's a swimming pool and a small restaurant. The beach is a 25-minute walk away, and it's beautiful. There's a good minimarket across from the hotel, which is very convenient. They don't have a laundry room; there are paid laundry facilities nearby
