Khalids Guest House Galle in Galle

This is a terrific small hotel -– beautiful rooms with balconies – perfect breakfasts – and very friendly owner and staff. They have a couple of even nicer annexes – Small House and the gorgeous Fort Square. Highly recommended.

Nice room.
Pros:
1. Clean, cozy, and tidy. Stylish and antique. Plenty of space.
2. Large balcony with a great view of the wall and the ocean. There's a table and seating. The balcony is shared between two rooms, by the way.
3. Location. As described above. It's located next to the wall, meaning a good view. Below the balcony are old-style streets.
4. Breakfast. It's served at another hotel, also owned by the owner. Good. Fruit, pancakes, scrambled eggs with sausages, toast, juice, and tea.
5. Pleasant staff. If a problem arises, they help resolve it. In our case, they ran out of rooms and offered us a deluxe room at another hotel. We were later able to move our reservation by one day because our travel plans changed. Special thanks to them for that.

Cons:
1. Few outlets in the room. 2. No safe. We had no problems during our stay, but you never know.
3. It can be a bit noisy, as it's in a fort.

Overall, I recommend this place. Our couple enjoyed their stay.

Very nice room, the reception staff is very polite, the room facilities are very modern, which is already a very high standard in Sri Lanka, and the room as a whole is very Dutch-style, (of course, since it is an old house, the soundproofing is so-so, you can listen at 8 o'clock in the morning The staff is cooking), I really recommend this hotel. If you have time to stay here for two or three days, stroll around the ancient city and look at jewelry, the pace is great.

Great spot to explore Galle
Super friendly and helpful staff that gave great recommendations for the rest of my trip. Room was clean, A/C was cold, water was hot for shower, and breakfast was amazing. I was even served a fresh mixed juice smoothie as part of the free breakfast. This is a algreat spot to explore the walls of the Galle Fort.

Beautiful old Dutch house, lovely balcony with view of the fort walls and the sea beyond. View west to the setting sun. Swimming spot within three minutes walk. Good fan and AC. Good size room and bathroom. Very nice breakfast at a nearby property. Management and staff very helpful in a pleasant reserved way. Excellent value. Highly recommended.

We were so lucky to be able to enjoy our last night in this lovely house. We were given a room on the first floor with a balcony and a view of the Indian Ocean right on Pedlar's street and it was pretty quiet considering! We had a delicious breakfast with hoppers and pancakes and fresh papaya and bananas, as well as fresh juice. We will be sad to leave. The location is ideal for walking around this historical part of town. Just lovely.
