I had a great experience at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The room had a beautiful sea view and was clean and comfortable. I also loved the big pool — perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sunny weather. Overall, a fantastic stay and I would definitely come back again

I recently stayed at Sanmira Renaissance Hotel with my friends, and we really enjoyed the experience. The environment was clean and relaxing, the staff was very helpful, and the facilities were impressive. It’s a perfect place for a getaway, and I would happily visit again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort and a peaceful stay!

Good location. Staff is friendly.
Room is clean, but very basic.
No daily housekeeping unless you ask for it.
Food is not bad but very basic (at least the breakfast and board menu dinner).
Staff were all super friendly and professional, except one day a young restaurant worker at the dinner directly asked for money while serving you dinner, explaining his salary is small and if we can help him, very awkward!
Swimming pool area is cute! Just cross the road and you can swim at the beach 🏖️ cool.

.00581°, 80.25494° Along the busy A2 Matara Road between Unawatuna and Talpe, this multi-storey hotel offers rooms and apartments behind the hotel. Here you will find the swimming pool and pool bar. For the beach, cross the road and walk to the left to Dalawella Beach (1km) or to the right to Unawanu Beach (500 meters). You need to take a 24-minute bus to Galle Dutch Fort. The front desk can arrange a tuk-tuk. For each attraction, Sanmira Renaissance is in between but not next to it. In March 2024, room 206 of the first floor (2F) had a split level, with a comfortable poster double bed, television, fridge and brand-new air-conditioner. The hot shower was good. The noise from the busy road was not a problem. Laundry service and breakfast buffet were good. Sanmira Renaissance hotel offers good hotel rooms and a swimming pool.

I stayed for 1 week, the hotel and rooms and very clean and all ammenities are available in the spacious rooms. The service from staff was excellent, very polite and always willing to help. The food is of a good standard and they catered for any request without complaint. I will certainly stay here again.

I know Sri Lanka is having a hard time at the moment so I am being very generous with my reviews but if you really want people to stay and come back then you really need to sort out a few tiny details. All the room in hotels in Sri Lanka are large but this was perhaps the most badly designed room I stayed in during my entire trip. It should have been a twin but it had a large double and a small kids bed which was rock hard. Bedding was stained and the room just had an air of neglect and uncleaniness. The room also faced the main road which meant you had a lovely view of the ocean but also had traffic noise with the single glazing. Wifi was poor. Spent a morning at the pool which was relaxing but made the error of using the toilets by the pool which were dire (think that scene in Trainspotting). Stayed for 2 nights was not expecting luxury but even the most basic hotel can be clean.

We went on vacation with the whole family. And we really liked the hotel! Very good service! Staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. The room was quite clean. Cleaning upon request. Great pool, but there is a small drawback - the tiles are old and chipped in some places. My kids scratched all over their feet. Breakfast is monotonous, but tasty. All questions and wishes were fulfilled. Very much recommend.

There was our wedding party last month. We had been discussed with its manager Mr. Priyantha for the 2500 / - per plate for the wedding. But in the end he charged us Rs. 2950 / - per a plate. We talked at that time but it was useless. It was not the face that was there when the hall was booked for the ceremony that was later. After all, we paid more because of their mistake. But hall was fine food is good.
