The staff is amazing and the location is great. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast they made was very good! I surely recommend to any solo or couple to stay one or two nights here. It is close to the airport and the beach. The stress is calm so we can have a nice sleep.

I had such a great experience staying at Dorset! The room was cute and cozy, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. It felt like a perfect start to my trip. The family running the place was so warm and friendly. They helped me plan my day and even taught me a few Sinhala phrases, which was so much fun. It’s a lovely, welcoming place that makes you feel at home. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Sri Lanka 100% worth it!

The host was very friendly, and the breakfast was truly incredible. Beds are firm, and sleep lovely. Airco and mosquito net against the mosquitoes made for a quit night sleep. We also got some tips what to do and see, but we only stayed for a short while and thus could not see everything they recommended. They also offer a good taxi service from the airport to the hotel.

Very clean en the owner is very sweet! He wants to help you with everything. The breakfast was delicious. It’s close to the airport and the place is quiet, so perfect for after your long flight. I would definitely reccomend this hotel! We are certainly coming back.

Great spot with very friendly and generous hosts. Stayed one night prior to a flight out of Sri Lanka the following day. Excellent breakfast and a well priced tuk-tuk tour of Negombo organised by the hosts before I departed. I checked out at 11 and returned after the tour and some time on the beach. The hosts made me tea and biscuits and offered a vacant room for me to have a shower and tidy up before going to the airport which was gratefully accepted. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

I read the reviews for this Hotel and saw in the middle of all the glowing reports there were some that said they must be fake because it was awful. And you know I disregarded those. How wrong I was. Notice there are no outside pics of the Hotel. Because you wouldn't stay there if you saw them. Firstly on checking in I was asked to pay upfront in cash. I offered a card they said no. An argument ensued as I had not enough cash. Anyway I got some and paid. How I wish I hadn't. The room was old and tired. Nothing has been done for years. The bed was the worst I have slept in since I was a 23 year old in a squat in Sydney. Actually I think the squat was better all round. About 6.00 pm a thunderstorm started with heavy rain. Water started coming into the bedroom and flooding the floor from the leaking doors. We lifted our bags up off the floor. I went and asked for some towels to stem the flow the manager turn up with a helper and industrial vacuum to soak the water up. He also had plastic bags that h they used to seal the doors. Obviously a regular occurrence. At around 11.30 the phone rang in the next room. Not only could we hear the next door guest but the caller as well. This went on for over 30 minutes. Also there was a fanlight over the locked adjoining room which lit our room up as well. Since neither of us could now sleep I spent some time looking for alternative accommodation, which I found a short distance away which was far better for only a little more money. Also. You get charged for water. $7 US for breakfast - almost inedible. And was quoted $25 US to the airport. The new place charged me $20 AUS. We stayed for one night but paid for three, the best decision I made in this fiasco

I only stayed here for one night, but it was the best stay on my whole trip. I was welcomed by this very lovely and sweet family, who was very friendly. They even helped driving me back and fourth to a restaurant in the area while pouring rain, and drove me to the airport in the middle of the night as well. I can only recommend.

I stayed here for two nights with a very lovely family that showed a lot of hospitality. My flight was late, and later delayed, and they allowed me to stay there and shower and even gave me a bed for half the night, free of charge! This family made our stay and I wish them all the best,

Friendly Family owners makes an unforgettable holiday for us. So don't hesitate to ask in a reception, if you think some program in Lanka. The Hotel is small, but very large and clean room, and the surpise for me the nice clean ac( thx i have an allergy )Our room containts large balcon. If you want, can use the "Library corner" to find some book. Fresh breakfast, alldays with fresh fruit, and pressed juices. We love it! I recommend.
Oh, and dont forget, to change your morning coffee...to tea.

Not a hotel. More like a guesthouse. Clean linen and beds, basic toiletries. Simple breakfast. Don and his family are good hosts.
