What a wonderful stay we had at Simpsons Forest. As part of our tour of Sri Lanka we managed to squeeze in 2 nights here and had such an amazing time. The service was exceptional and special thanks goes to Gunesekara for taking us on a tour of the tea plantation. The views were out of this world! The infinity pool provided plenty of photo opportunities and we also enjoyed a beautiful afternoon tea outdoors. If you get the chance to visit it’s definitely worth it.

Our stay at Simpson's Forest was truly a relaxing and memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome from Hansi and Hiruni at the front desk set the tone for a wonderful stay. They were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. The restaurant experience was equally impressive. Chandana and the team provided excellent service — very attentive, professional, and genuinely caring. The food was delicious, well-prepared, and offered great variety, making every meal enjoyable. The live music by Chapa added a beautiful touch to the evenings, creating a calm and pleasant atmosphere that perfectly complemented the peaceful surroundings of the resort. Overall, Simpson's Forest is a fantastic place to unwind and relax. With great food, excellent service, and a serene environment, it’s highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

After a busy day exploring Kandy it was a welcome sight to come to this beautiful oasis. A wonderful welcome from the lovely reception lady. Amazing accommodation and a pool area that’s too good to describe. (Go see for yourself) ! Imika and chandaran were so accommodating to our request to sit outside. Nothing is too much trouble. If you are a bit wobbly on your feet be sure to ask for the a lodge lower down the hill. The upper lodges have the most amazing views. Wonderful walk around the site.

This resort was beautiful with breathtaking views and the staff were fantastic and went out of their way to make this trip a special one for us. I cannot recommend this paradise highly enough. The grounds were gorgeous and the rooms were beautiful and kept pristine clean, although some of the rooms seemed a little dated. The infinity pool was spectacular but I wish it would have stayed open a little longer. The Sri Lanka authentic food was absolutely delicious but they had lots of other options for picky eaters too. This trip will live on in our memories for years and will be hard to beat!

Amazing staff, amazing food and an amazing location. Clean air, restorable forest and a breathtaking view from an infinity pool. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and very attentive to our small children and our needs. The rooms were spacious, and comfortable. This is also a very romantic getaway for couples. Highly recommended!

Excellent hotel in a scenic location. What a fantastic welcome from the staff when we arrived. Great room with lovely view over the plantation. The infinity pool was brilliant especially watching the sun setting. My partner has a food allergy and Disna was excellent explaing what my partner could or couldn't eat. Her service was very good. The only disappointment was on both evenings a coach party arrived and took over the restaurant and made an intimate meal in lovely setting impossible.

We enjoyed the morning trek with Gunasekara around the estate. Good nature walk. Did it with my 8 year old who enjoyed it a lot!

A hotel with a fantastic view. We were lucky to stay near the pool and with a view over the hotel’s own tea plantation, which made the scenery even more special. The hotel’s architecture is very beautiful. The entire staff was very friendly, and the buffet restaurant was beautiful. With live music, it is the perfect place to relax, as it is away from everything.
