Queensbury city hotel is lovely, the reception staff is genuinely warm and accomodating. Rooms have charming interiors, spacious and well maintained. The overall ambience felt comfortable and welcoming. It has been a pleasant experience for us, I recommend this hotel if you happen to look for a reliable and a comfortable stay in Nuwara Eliya.

The hotel was good and reception and staff was good as well.
But the restaurant chef was very very rude. Since we are rushing to catchup the train in the morning. Arrangements was made with the front office manager for early breakfast. Suppose to have our breakfast as early as 6.30am. But we only entered the restaurant at 7.05, we started to take our breakfast and the chef was very rude. He just slam close the food tray and he was not polite at all.
Totaly not recommended to stay here if you are planning to take a train ride down hill.

Terrible stay. Guests were partying loudly in their rooms during the night, making it impossible to sleep. There was no reception or staff available at all to deal with complaints. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable for a place offering accommodation. Would strongly advise avoiding this property.

The hotel is almost 3 star category rooms are average. It has a nice little patio to view the beauty outside. There are no safes in the room. However.
The noise level is high because of the surroundings. People are on their toes to make you more comfortable than possible. It's a hotel visited by many to like us. We came from Thomas cook. But everybody, including had her own and rizwan, were very curtius.Food is awesome.If you want to really be happy Your taste buds will dance after eating their food chef. Sonar dhanushan are amazing chefs.
Xavier..Thiiliban..Tusanthan gave great attention and made meal times enjoyable.
Overall for a night..it's ok experience.

We are staying in Queensburry hotel in our tour to SriLakna and the stay here is so pleasant. The staff is very polite and they served Indian food in the buffet, it was very yummy and felt like home in another country. The staff in the restaurant Thileeban, Dhinu and Xavier were very welcoming and served the items as per our requirements. Well done Chef Sana and Dhanu, food was amazing…Thank you👍👍

Entire hotel smells very bad. Rooms are very shabby. No facilities are available at the room. Also the breakfast is too local so foreigners like us can’t enjoy it. The hotel is too old and very unorganised. Not too many foreigners visit here. So would not recommend it to anyone.

We went here for one night and it was good overall. Staffs are really friendly specially the girls in reception, sorry i do not remember their names. A different experience and Good place to go visit in Nuwara Eliya. Hopefully we will visit again ❤️

rooms are very basic, no views from the rooms, quiet clean, location good, no AC, no fan so during summer it may feel slightly suffocating, wifi was good, TV was good, breakfast options were good, staff was good, near to the city center, overall a pleasant stay

Stayed one night, which was one night too many! One of the worst hotels I have had the misfortune to stay in. The reception was very dark when we booked in (approx 5.00 pm) and very impersonal. The room had stains on the carpet, mold on the walls, untidy wiring, broken light fittings in the bathroom and plaster missing around the pipes over the shower area. The view from the window was over rusty roofs to the nearby mosque. This meant that the call to prayer by the muezzin at 5.08 am the next morning ensured that we were fully awakened. The set dinner and breakfast were at best reasonable. The area around the hotel was not conducive to walking, very untidy and we did not feel safe. Maybe, in the colonial days, this hotel may have been different and there is evidence that a lot a work is going on to improve it. Overall a place to be avoided.
