Royal Cocoon in Nuwara Eliya

The building will transfer you back into a different time. The hotel has kept his old charm and I was absolutely enjoying a very delicious cup of tea in the saloon. As we had to leave early staff knocked on our room door the night before to take our breakfast orders. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the food very well presented on the plate. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The beds in the rooms were most likly the most compfy ones I had in Sri Lanka.

Lovely place to stay. Warm greeting on arrival and as soon as we sat in lounge tea and coffee provided. Great room and luxury surroundings. Great historical background to property and original features throughout. Lovely grounds and quiet surroundings. Staff went out of their way to help with any requests. Food was excellent. Thoroughly recommend staying here.

We arrived here last minutes on our wedding night and were so warmly greeted by Raminda and the team! What a place- colonial charm meets modern luxury. We were offered tea in the parlour and greeted so kindly - the hotel was so incredible. The food was amazing -a delight for the senses. So fresh!

This small hotel is located on a property with beautiful gardens. We had a spacious and very comfortable room. The sitting room is full of interesting decor! The location is perfect for exploring town and is right next to the beautiful Victoria Gardens which is definitely worth a visit.

We stayed just one night at Royal Cocoon but wish we had stayed longer. Chattu and the team were warm and friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and the location is perfect, close to Victoria Park and a short stroll to the interesting town of Nuwara Eliya. For garden lovers, the grounds at Royal Cocoon will be of great interest. They are beautifully tended and are a credit to the Gardener. Highly recommend a stay and we hope to return.

This is small boutique hotel, in Numara Eliya. It is a beautiful villa, with beautiful landscape and garden. Very close to main market. The Manager was very well coming and helpful. The rooms are tastefully furnished. Beds are king size and very comfortable. In our bathroom there was water leakage so they shifted us to bigger room. Lighting in bathrooms can be improved. Vegetarian options for breakfast are limited. Still we would like to stay again.

The location is convenient for exploring Nuwara Eliya, with key attractions such as Victoria Park, Gregory Lake, and tea estates nearby. It’s an excellent choice for those looking for a quiet, relaxing stay with a touch of old-world charm. Would definitely recommend for a comfortable and memorable stay in Nuwara Eliya!

Great place. Excellent service, very helpful and friendly staff. Food was so nice and vary tasty. Huge garden with beautiful view. Rooms are very spacious and cozy.room was clean and tidy.best location very close to town. Walking distance.
