I stayed at Araliya Hotels last night with my family, and this was our first visit to one of their properties. Prior to our arrival, our expectations were quite high, especially given the reputation and discussions surrounding the ownership of the property in Sri Lanka these days.
I would first like to appreciate the receptionist who kindly offered us our room around 12:30 pm as the hotel was not...
Yogesh is an excellent staff. He is very warm and friendly. He impressed us by delivering our baggage to and from the car with extra careful. He also assisted the driver on loading and unloading of the luggage.
Yogesh, you are great asset to the hotel.
Thank you for your excellent service and hospitality.
Had a fantastic stay at Araliya Green City. The hotel is modern, well-maintained, and perfectly located close to the main attractions of Nuwara Eliya while still offering a peaceful and relaxing environment.
The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, with great views and all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. The staff were extremely courteous, professional, and always...
We stayed at the hotel for two days with our family. The food was excellent, especially the Sri Lankan cuisine, which was a real highlight of our stay. The variety and taste were truly enjoyable. The staff were also friendly and supportive, which we appreciated.
However, there were several concerns that affected the overall experience. The rooms were not clean, and the bathroom walls had visible black...
We stayed only one night with Veena World, Mumbai group. Room was very spacious with weird furnishing. In double occupancy room there was one six seater dining table. Bed was queen size. In huge room for two people what was the use of six seater dining table ? Instead bed should have been atleast king size. However the food was excellent. Specially vegetarian food was superb. Spread for breakfast and...
The property looks beautiful, and the location is excellent, situated near the golf club and racecourse. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
However, the breakfast buffet was comparable to that of a three-star hotel, as the spread was quite basic. We also noticed cockroaches near the buffet table, which was concerning.
We experienced issues with the internet connection. Although the...

We had a lovely stay here, all amenities were lovely and staff were very friendly. The only issue we had was with Laundry, we couldn’t seem to get a clear answer when the laundry was put it without a sheet. They said we needed the sheet but also it was fine so a little confusing. Other than that our stay was lovely .
Great walking distance to the town!

We had an excellent stay at Araliya Green Hills. My family of four booked two adjoining rooms that seemed a vast space for us. The balcony was a good spot to relax in for some individual down time. We were travelling with friends and our rooms were all placed consecutively next to each other which was great. The communal hotel spaces were very good for us to spend time in. Dinner and breakfast was...
We had a lovely stay at Araliya Green Hills Hotel. Hostess Vasundara was amazing—she thoughtfully arranged a surprise birthday cake for my wife during our buffet dinner, which made the evening truly special. The buffet was excellent, featuring shrimp, crab, and calamari—rare seafood options in Sri Lanka.
The staff overall were warm, attentive, and helpful. Our room also had a special birthday decoration...
We visited this hotel for their dinner buffet to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The food and buffet spread were amazing — every dish was delicious and well presented.
The service was outstanding, especially from the Restaurant and Bar Manager, Mr. Benedic Netto, who went above and beyond to make our evening special. He personally took care of everything...
nice location, room was fine too. service was good. easy to go around as it was not far from most of the tourist places. breakfast was reasonable and stay was very accommodative. they had multiple hotel around the same location and this one was one of the nicest one. we had good time. may be little overpriced
Stayed here on New Year's Eve, there were too many tourists and the service was not up to par. I left the hotel 40 minutes in the morning and left my son's New Year's money in the room. When I returned 40 minutes later, 500 RMB was missing. I checked the surveillance and found that only the room cleaning attendant had entered the room, and there was no explanation. Bad review!

Stunning hotel in a beautiful town.
Grand entrance with welcoming staff. Not pushy, just genuine lovely people. Easy check in system. Rooms are beautiful and clean. Fan/aircon worked beautifully and was so quite.
Spa services were offered on check in, we booked a massage and it was delightful and well priced, with wonderful staff. Food was delicious and service...
The hotel has a wonderful atmosphere, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable, which made the stay pleasant in many ways.
However, the welcome and reception experience was very unpleasant. There were many staff members present at the reception area, but no one greeted or assisted us when we arrived. As a group of around 150 guests, we expected better coordination and hospitality, but unfortunately...
We had an incredible stay at Araliya Red.The room was spotless, the big bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and the little touches (like the chocolate ) made a huge difference. The design is modern and chic, the WiFi was lightning fast, and the shower pressure was amazing.

We had a very pleasant stay and truly felt it was great value for money. From the moment we arrived, the front desk team created an excellent first impression. The security staff were also very friendly and professional, which made us feel welcome and safe.

This hotel is just average, but the breakfast is good. Book Green instead; I wouldn't recommend this one for the same price.
The room is large, the facilities are average, the swimming pool is small, and only two bottles of mineral water are provided for free.

A hotel nestled in a historic landmark. The ambiance, cleanliness, and facilities were all highly satisfactory. The service, however, I'd give a four-star rating. For instance, during afternoon tea, one staff member was surprisingly unfamiliar with the offerings and had to consult a colleague. Furthermore, after checking into my room and placing the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door, a staff member...
The service was outstanding; all the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Once they knew we were Chinese, they'd often greet us with 'Ni hao, Xie Xie'. One front desk manager was particularly friendly, always stopping for a chat whenever we crossed paths. The staff seemed genuinely proud of the hotel and were happy to share details about its history and facilities.
The only reason I didn't give...
The hotel's ambiance was perfect.
The ambiance is great, though the room was a little small.
This is really healing. It is one of my favorite hotels during my trip to Sri Lanka. The service is great. Because I checked in during the Spring Festival, the hotel staff said "Happy New Year" from check-in to breakfast the next day. There is also a "Happy New Year" light box at the front desk of the hotel. I feel very friendly in a foreign country. The breakfast is very rich. The Thai food downstairs...
The historical buildings are distinctive, the public spaces are diverse and rich, the gardens are carefully maintained and exquisite, and you can check in for the Queen's English afternoon tea... The Thai and Indian food in the hotel are pretty good

The garden is beautiful and the pool is great, but the room carpet was incredibly dirty with a very strong smell of dust and dust mites. I had severe allergies for the two days I stayed there, to the point where I had to wear a mask to sleep at night. Opening the window for ventilation didn't help at all. Everything else was good, except for this.
Very nice location in the middle of all the tea plantations and great service and rooms.
We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The family room setup was perfect for us—spacious, well-designed, and very comfortable.
The amenities really made the trip: we made use of the free kids' club, the heated indoor pool, and massages at the spa. The onsite restaurants also served fantastic meals throughout our stay.
One quick tip for future guests: try to avoid booking a room on the first floor...
Could be better.
The TV was not working, I called reception, but nobody came to check.
There is a window in the washroom which is really cold!!!
No hairdryer, I have to call for it.
Waited more than 10 min to get the kids club open.
Beautiful Hotel with great restaurants, pool. The room was not so good. No ac, no tub, terrible pillows.
The view from our room was excellent and we really enjoyed the heated swimming pool. Food was overpriced at Sackville in our opinion

Excellent location, roads were very dangerous as we arrived late at night, coming up four kilometres.
Amazing location, amazing staff, amazing set up
From someone who has travelled to many countries, this is one of the best hotels that I’ve ever stayed at. Highly recommended for anyone who is fascinated with tea, or even simply someone looking for an oasis to relax in.
Interesting hotel with colonial feel to it and a lot of history. We really enjoyed the tea plucking tour where we dressed in saris and had a go at plucking tea leaves in baskets. The buffet dinner was an impressive lay out.
Our experience at the hotel was truly exceptional, especially thanks to the outstanding service. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of throughout our stay.
The food was very good, with very generous portions — you definitely won’t go hungry here! We also really enjoyed the various tea-related activities offered by the hotel, which added a unique and authentic touch...
Lovely unique experience in a renovated tea factory. The staff were very helpful and friendly but a bit too formal compared to other properties in Sri Lanka but that could be part of the charm and selling point.

The welcome we received from Gayan and his team when we arrived, the location which is so tranquil. The surrounding countryside is breathtaking. Our room was perfect, everything catered for and it looked out over the garden. We had a tour of the tea plantation, everything explained about the process, which was fascinating. Each meal we had was delicious and portions perfect. Overall wonderful experience
Right from the atmosphere, restored details and attentive service to the beautiful property and the plantation walk everything about Warwick Gardens was a delight. We felt so at peace during our 2 day stay here and Viji was so amazing and helpful.
What a fantastic location! This restored old colonial bungalow, with its beautiful landscaped garden, looks out over surrounding luscious hillsides in the heart of Sri Lanka's tea growing region. Although the hotel is isolated we found that the peace and tranquility it offered just added to its charm. We especially enjoyed eating our breakfast in the sunshine on the front patio accompanied by a chorus...
My family and I had a truly amazing time staying at this lovely hotel. Wiji, Ruba, and Jaykumar did an fantastic job of creating a peaceful stay and also teaching us about every step in the tea making process. Plus, Chef Yoga's food was a true highlight of the trip. I highly recommend seeing Warwick Gardens for yourself!
We stayed at Warwick Gardens as a 3 family group during our recent visit to Sri Lanka. From the time we checked in, Viji and Ruba took care of all our needs with a smile. Delightful little hotel. Unfortunately views were spoilt by a new building right in front. However the staff were so welcoming, hospitable, warm. The bain - marie heating dishes didn't keep the food very hot, luke warm, but the wonderful chef whisked our plates away and instantly returned them with hot and delicious food. However wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Sri Lanka gem.
Quaint little hotel. Rooms were a great size with 2 day lounges by the windows. Beds were a little too firm but still slept well. Nice and quiet with no outside noise heard. Bathroom set up was a little different but it worked. Toilet and basin in one room. Shower and basin in another. The towel rails were above the toilet though. Shower did leak out so the floor towel was always soaked. But we learnt...

Visited as part of a Sri Lanka holiday, Hassin Our guide was excellent and very knowledgeable, The Club clearly has a long and proud history with Britain and are exceptional proud of the Royal visits made. Unfortunately time restrictions did not allow us to dine there but I’m very confident if we had it would have been a throughly enjoyable experience.
Hassim gave us a most enjoyable guided tour of the club, very informative and attentive to our needs. A wonderful glimpse into the past, and still very much a living tradition.
We toured the club with Hassim who patiently explained everything. I am a member of a reciprocal club in the UK. I hope to be back soon to enjoy the facilities (possibly even the magnificent snooker table).
I really enjoyed my tour with Hassim. It was fascinating to see all the antiques and memorabilia. A beautiful building with a very interesting history. Beautiful gardens where I enjoyed a pot of tea and the birdsong.
We came to visit this place and had a wonderful tour with Hashem who hosted us. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area. FYI, Tickets are 600 rupees per person.
A beautiful and long lasting experInce. The club is reminiscent of times gone by with a current and active membership. Our host, Hassim, was most knowledgeable, helpful and provided a comprehensive background to the club.

Very nice property .. but the problem is only five rooms , you will not know who is staying in the next room.. Door locks are very old.. if you want enjoy with friends this is not the right place because even if you drop a pin it will be disturbance to the other room because all the 5 rooms are very close.. In the night with all that English photos around it was little scary for us.
A Fantastic stay at an awesome heritage cottage with historical charm and magnificent memories. A 5 suits / roomed property gives a royal feel tothe guests. The hotel retains its original artfacts and the furniture from the time of its esteemed owner ,the first PM of Sri lanka. The Manager Mr Sudershan and his team of 4 took very good care of us to make our stay memorable
Choice for break fast, lunch & dinner was very limited. No menu card was available. Rates of bf, lunch & dinner were on higher side. Location of hotel-is good. It is well maintained despite being 100 years old. Furniture provided is antique but well maintained. Rest stay was comfortable.

The location is perfect—close to Gregory Lake and the town. I felt safe and well taken care of throughout my stay. Highly recommend and would definitely return!
The hotel is wonderful. Good staff. Pradeep was very helpful and supportive. Everything is perfect. Room were good. Must stay in this hotel of you are in Nuwara.
We had a wonderful stay at Heaven Seven Hotel in Nuwara Eliya. The staff was very friendly and helpful, always making sure we were comfortable. The hotel itself is very good, with clean rooms and everything well maintained. The location is excellent, with beautiful surroundings that make it perfect to enjoy Nuwara Eliya’s charm. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended!
We stayed at this hotel for two nights during a spell of unfortunate weather (13–16°C, rain, and strong winds), which may have influenced our overall experience. Nuwara Eliya, No 33, Rose Garden, 22200 Nuvara-Eliya, Tsentralnaya provintsiya, Shri-Lanka 🧭 Map
I chose this place the night before going to Horton Plains. The room is quite big and the toilet is all tiled. It is simple but clean. It feels very lifelike, just like living in the countryside when I was a kid. People around will greet you, even the puppies are happy. The B&B prepared breakfast that you can take with you.
This happens to be a very peaceful, serene stay at Nwara E. We spent a night here, with our family, and it lived up to the expectations.
Rooms were clean. The crew was good at what they did.
Overall, this is a high recommend.
Nice room, on the mountain, the owner is very polite, providing coffee and afternoon tea snacks. In addition, be sure to bring more clothes, it is really cold on the mountain
The room is very good, the price is very suitable, and the cost performance is very high. The most important thing is that the chef team provides delicious food that suits the Chinese taste 🥘, which saved me from stomach problems. Thank you 🙏
Great experience rooms are very clean and customer service also good .Both break fast and dinner taste is very good .Really it's worth for money to stay at this hotel .The view from this hotel is really awesome I really appreciate their service .I will suggest to all
We stayed here for one night and booked two rooms .Rooms are well maintained and worth for the money .I liked the hospitality of the manager and chef .The chef was not hesitating to our ad hoc requests.Manager was also very kind and helpful.I would vouch for this stay.
