Staying at Jetwing St. Andrews in Nuwara Eliya felt like stepping back in time to a refined colonial era, with all the comforts of modern hospitality. The property is beautifully preserved, with classic architecture, manicured gardens, and a charming old-world atmosphere that makes the experience truly unique.

The rooms were elegant, cozy, and immaculately clean, blending heritage style with contemporary comfort. The cool mountain climate, combined with the peaceful surroundings, created the perfect setting to relax and unwind. The dining experience was exceptional, with high-quality cuisine and attentive service that made every meal feel special.

The staff were professional, warm, and genuinely welcoming, adding a personal touch to the entire stay. Jetwing St. Andrews is not just a hotel — it’s an experience.

We had a most wonderful stay. The staff are super warm, friendly and genuine. They upgraded our room as we are on our honeymoon into a lovely suite which was spacious. There are lots of lounging areas and a couple of fire places as it can get quite chilly in the evening since the hotel is so high up. The grounds are beautiful and the food very tasty (and very big portions). There is an veg and herb garden where they grow various tongs that they then incorporate into the hotel food. Activity wise, they have a full sized snooker table and plenty of board/card games. It is a very short walk down into town. Thank you for having us.

Cozy Stay!!!

We had a wonderful stay on a Saturday and were treated to an excellent dinner buffet—huge kudos to the chef. The buffet, though limited, was perfectly curated with a great spread, and every dish was absolutely delicious.

The staff truly made our experience special. They were incredibly humble, warm, and attentive, going out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. Their thoughtful service even helped keep my son happily engaged with activities around the hotel, which we greatly appreciated.

The location is another big plus—conveniently close to town yet peaceful and relaxing.

We stayed in the Deluxe Attic Room (307), which was spacious, cozy, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The creatively designed décor using recycled materials was a lovely touch and clearly reflected the hotel’s strong commitment to sustainability.

Overall, a fantastic, eco-friendly, and memorable stay. Highly recommended—we would love to return!

Lovely old building very reminiscent of a Scottish country house. Staff very attentive though not always 100% effective! Food in both the buffet and a la Carte menu is excellent. Rooms are large and comfortable though not particularly practical for laying out toiletries etc. Beds are comfy but pillows also very full and large and I couldn't get a thinner one. The hotel is a bit out of the main town but quiet. The grounds are very well kept.
It will get chilly in an evening but there are several cosy log fires in the bar and lounge and the hotel does a turn down service with hot water bottles!

We had a delightful stay at this beautiful property. The location is close to the town but very peaceful. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and both meals were splendid. Rooms are comfortable and warm. However, it's good if the hotel can provide irons for all the rooms. We requested an iron but had to wait a long time to receive it. Bathrooms are smaller than they appear in photos. But our overall experience was great.

Old British Colonial building with the same old world charm. Has a cozy fire place with pool table. Spent the New Year Eve and had a fantastic holiday there. Weather was cold and service was good… highly recommend the evening high tea at the garden

The hotel is in desperate need of remodeling, and our guests were kept awake all night by a family of rats eating wood or whatever. The rooms are tiny for the price, and the food is average.

The gardens were kept in good shape, but the rest of the facilities needed to be updated. We stayed in a Suite Room and discovered that the minibar was completely empty. Shocking!

Was a really dissapointment. Rooms need renovation and partly dirty rooms. Staff members mixed up orders and buffet food was cold and partly overcooked. Staff did not respond to our complaints about very loud music during gala buffet dinner. Many guests complained. Location and the historic vibe is great and unique. Unfortunately both the rooms and staff need renovation. We have only had great experiences with Jetwing hotels, but not this time.

This hotel is in need of a MAJOR renovation and restoration. It may have been beautiful in its prime, but it is incredible rundown. Our room was just dirty - the bathroom covered in mold and mildew. The food is mediocre at best and for $200+ USD, you’d expect to be treated well or accommodated. I was so disappointed with our stay and it was a sour part of our trip. I don’t understand these positive reviews!

Place is really calm and relaxing and near to the Nuwaraeliya town also. Food was delicious. Staff is really nice and very helpful. Good place to hangout with friends & family.
