Pigeons Nest in Nuwara Eliya

We stayed 2 nights in the Pigeons nest and had an amazing time. The rooms are somewhat dated but clean. We had a hot shower and a large bed that came with the option to be heated during cold nights. Waking up to the view (seen in photo) was crazy.

The owner and staff are some of the kindest people we have met so far. They really try their best to make you experience nuwara eliya the best way possible. Upon arrival we got a lot of recommendations for activities and restaurants.

Also the breakfast was great on both days!

We stayed one night at Pigeons Nest in Nuwara Eliya as a stopover coming from Kandy, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The room was clean and comfortable, with a stunning view of the mountains. The place feels very calm and cozy. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is definitely recommended. An ideal stay for anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya or taking a short break while traveling through Sri Lanka.

Amazing service, rooms are clean and very cosy! The host is so kind, was very helpful with all the great recommendations. Even send us a jacket we forgot! 😌 Thank you for the amazing stay!

I stayed for 1 night at this hotel and it was great! The location is perfect, the view from the room is beautiful and the people working there are super friendly! Sam is specially great, he was really gracious and prepared breakfast for me at an earlier time at my request. 100% recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Nuwara Elyia

This is a home stay.
I was not expecting much from this place. Bt i got more then my expectations.

Room is Very big, well maintained.
Outside View from the room Is awsome.
Washroom was big & clean.
Bed was soft . Outside area of this hotel is little bit messy .
Bt when u enter ur room , everything is just perfect.

Their room rent is very reasonable too.

I will definitely recommend them .
U will have a great experience for sure.

Prince and his son were great hosts, very welcoming and always there if you need to know something via text or in person. Super friendly with endless tea supplied! Helped to arrange our Pekoe trail tuk tuk ride and route easily with no hassle, and a huge breakfast provided before. Super comfortable beds and nice bedroom with a great view :)

We had a wonderfull stay at Pigeon nest. As the chanches on rain is rather high in the afternoon in November we enjoyed the living room , good wifi en and our room with a view. In the evening sitting with open fire in the Living room ! In the morning you can have breakfast outside overlookin Nuwara Elyia. If need info for getting around speak to the owner Great stay! Hi I was there for two nights at this beautiful and friendly hotel. So the view of this hotel was amazing and the atmosphere was so so good in the living room they had chimney at night start fire it cause I feel better. The rooms are clean

I found this place as me and a few friends were drenched from a wet cyclone hitting the island. We needed up here last minute and Prince the owner took us in warmly. We had a fire place and super hot showers and warm blankets with tea. We rode the storm out and loved it watching movies and keeping dry. I then returned months later to stay a couple of weeks as I was taken by the King Room. This room had expansive views, warm ambient lighting a raised floor and huge king bed with a newly renovated bathroom, in fact the room was newly renovated. I chatted about life with Prince which was particularly refreshing. Love this place. Stay here if you have the opportunity to do so, you won’t regret it. Of course I should mention it is centrally located to shops and natural attractions such as the beautiful Bomburuella.

Overall expeirience was great! Affordable & great hospitality.
