We had a lovely stay at Araliya Green Hills Hotel. Hostess Vasundara was amazing—she thoughtfully arranged a surprise birthday cake for my wife during our buffet dinner, which made the evening truly special. The buffet was excellent, featuring shrimp, crab, and calamari—rare seafood options in Sri Lanka.
The staff overall were warm, attentive, and helpful. Our room also had a special birthday decoration for my wife, a very nice touch. The bed was comfortable with a good blanket—something I didn’t find in many of the four-star hotels here in Kandy.
Overall, a very pleasant stay and a place I would gladly recommend.

We had a lovely stay here, all amenities were lovely and staff were very friendly. The only issue we had was with Laundry, we couldn’t seem to get a clear answer when the laundry was put it without a sheet. They said we needed the sheet but also it was fine so a little confusing. Other than that our stay was lovely .

We had an excellent stay at Araliya Green Hills. My family of four booked two adjoining rooms that seemed a vast space for us. The balcony was a good spot to relax in for some individual down time. We were travelling with friends and our rooms were all placed consecutively next to each other which was great. The communal hotel spaces were very good for us to spend time in. Dinner and breakfast was an extensive buffet offering tasty food. Recommended.

I recently stayed at Araliya Green Hills Hotel and would not rate it as a 4-star experience. The room lacked basic ventilation or air-conditioning, and the air felt stale from the moment we entered. The sink was blocked during our stay, and there were no bedside sockets, which made charging devices inconvenient.
The spa was also below expectations. Despite facilities like a sauna, there was no water available and no towels provided. The pool area is very small, and even the bar by the pool could not offer something as simple as bottled water.
The restaurant offers a very mixed selection (from sushi to pasta, burgers, quesadillas, and Indian dishes), but hygiene needs urgent attention. The ventilation fan directly above the food area was extremely dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned for a long time, which raises concerns about overall maintenance.
The one positive aspect was the massage, which was well done.
Overall, the property does not meet the standards expected of a 4-star hotel, especially considering the basics of ventilation, cleanliness, and service availability. I would recommend travellers to consider alternative options in Nuwara Eliya.

We visited this hotel for their dinner buffet to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The food and buffet spread were amazing — every dish was delicious and well presented.
The service was outstanding, especially from the Restaurant and Bar Manager, Mr. Benedic Netto, who went above and beyond to make our evening special. He personally took care of everything and even arranged a lovely cake-cutting moment with live piano music.
It was truly a pleasure choosing this place for our special day — they made it even more memorable with their warm hospitality and attention to detail. Highly recommended! Definitely will visit them for a stay.

nice location, room was fine too. service was good. easy to go around as it was not far from most of the tourist places. breakfast was reasonable and stay was very accommodative. they had multiple hotel around the same location and this one was one of the nicest one. we had good time. may be little overpriced

They said the room I booked is not available! Promised to change to the room I booked the following day, which never happened. Thats the level of service.

Stayed here on New Year's Eve, there were too many tourists and the service was not up to par. I left the hotel 40 minutes in the morning and left my son's New Year's money in the room. When I returned 40 minutes later, 500 RMB was missing. I checked the surveillance and found that only the room cleaning attendant had entered the room, and there was no explanation. Bad review!
