This place is great! Conveniently located for Lion Rock and Pidurangula. Fantastic views of Lion rock lit up by the setting sun in the evening from the pool where you can enjoy an end of day drink. Our 1st floor (air-conditioned) balcony room was clean and fresh and very relaxing. The food was good and the owners were extremely helpful without being pushy in any way. Everything they organised for us went very well including a half day safari and a tour of Polonnaruwa. We stayed for 3 nights and although we have met some really nice, helpful people in Sri Lanka, I felt the low key yet highly efficient and well organised way the owners looked after us was really impressive.

What a lovely, humble place to stay. The rooms were clean, had great air conditioning and the beds were comfortable. The food. Wow. From the fresh produce to the home style cooking, everything was delicious! The portions were massive! Nothing was too hard for the friendly staff. Would definitely come back.

I can barely call this place a hostel, it feels like a 5 star resort. The people here really take care of you, they are all so sweet and helpful. If you need any help planning activities and transport they really come through. The property is beautiful, gorgeous garden, the pool is great and has a beautiful view of lion’s rock. AMAZING!

My favourite home stay in Sri Lanka! ＜3 Lovely welcoming and accommodating staff. The rooms were clean with air conditioning. The pool looks out onto Lion rock and is perfect for a relaxing afternoon! The manager at the front desk helped my group and I organize all of our activities and had wonderful recommendations for things to do. We did the cooking class with Sriyani where we got a tour of the resort’s garden and made the best curry I’ve ever had, we were even able to take the recipe home. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a home away from home!

Green Hut Nature Resort was one of the absolute highlights of our stay in Sigiriya. The resort is exceptionally clean, peaceful, and beautifully set in nature. The swimming pool is fantastic, with stunning views directly overlooking Lion’s Rock — an unforgettable place to relax. Our room was spotless and very comfortable, with excellent air conditioning, which made a big difference after hot days exploring the area. Everything was well maintained and clearly cared for. What truly makes this place special is the incredible hospitality of the owners, Sriyani and Caru. This husband-and-wife team are genuinely the kindest and most helpful hosts we have met anywhere. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel completely welcome and looked after every detail of our stay. They arranged all of our tours at very competitive prices, and every experience was excellent. The cooking experience was simply the best we have ever done — authentic, hands-on, and absolutely delicious. We also did a half-day private elephant safari organised by them, which was perfectly run and truly unforgettable. If you are visiting Sigiriya, we cannot recommend Green Hit Nature Resort highly enough. Exceptional value, wonderful people, and an unforgettable experience. We would return without hesitation.

What a lovely place to stay! The rooms were wonderful and the hosts really made us feel at home! We also enjoyed a lovely cooking class from our hostess. The food was delicious and we are really happy to be taking those recipes home. The hosts were really accommodating and helpful! And the food was lovely. Great place to stay if you want to visit Sigiriya!

Lovely rooms, very spacious and ultra clean. We stayed an extra night as it was so peaceful and quiet. The hosts were super friendly and spoke good English. Breakfast was served in the cool dining area, take a look at the international graffiti. Every day was slightly different. We had to ask for help finding a doctor and it was sorted in moments, with a tuk tuk arranged. They also helped with taxis, safaris and letting us chose our own rice and curry meals each day. Delicious. Lion Rock is a mere 10 minutes walk and there is a temple within 2 minutes, which is a bit run down, but worth a visit. Tuk tuks are readily available and good value. All can be arranged through the hosts. I wouldn't have a problem recommending this Hotel to anyone. Thank you, it was a highlight.

Staff was excellent. She made special vegetarian food for me. Lot of greenery.
Room is ok not that great. Too many insects because of bushes and trees all around the property. Gieco running on the floor of the room.
Had to go to the front desk every time for service. No phone/TV in the room. No light switch above the bed. Had to go to the front door to turn off lights and walk in the dark to the bed. Not convenient at all.

What a wonderful place. The staff is absolute angels, they are very hospitable and accommodating, they go above and beyond to ensure everyone enjoys their stay and feels like home. Nice and clean room (we stayed in the Deluxe room)
Perfect location, close to the rock, with a stunning view from the Rooftop.
The food is REALLY good if you like the lokal cuisine, you have to try It!!
Only minus was a lack of other guests, due to the covid situation😕 More People would make the athmosphere here even better, so Come for visit and se for your selfe😊
