We actually ended up staying at a sister property. When we arrived to Organic Garden, it turned out that our room was accidentally cancelled. However, the manager was very kind and apologetic. He rectified the situation by getting us a room at a more expensive property, but did not charge us extra. He took full responsibility. Both properties were lovely, with kind and helpful staff.

The staff were very kind. The room was very cute and had a comfortable setting. When I wanted to go for a walk, they took me to a nearby temple, which became a wonderful memory. The only disappointments were that there was no hair dryer in the room and the shower was difficult to use.

We stayed for 3 nights, the people here were so kind and friendly, the service was amazing. The rice and curry was some of the best I’ve had in Sri Lanka!! We accidentally left a passport, money and cards in our room when we left, they called us to tell us, and arranged to have it brought to Kandy which was our next stop- they even sent photos and counted exactly what was in there before they sent it to ensure we got everything back. Cannot fault the service and the kind people here. We would defiantly come back! Thank you for a great stay!

Spent one night with spouse and kids, a simple place we found convenient and relaxing. Breakfast and dinner (included in the already modest price) were both a positive surprise (quantity and quality) especially when compared to the neighbouring restaurants (disappointing and expensive).
The hotel is owned by nice and kind folks.

We stayed here for 5 nights in a family room and it was amazing! The room was spacious and clean, breakfast was plentiful and delicious and the pool was perfect for a cooling swim after being out and about in the heat. The family who run the hotel are absolutely lovely, along with their staff, and we felt so welcomed and cared for. It is a central location for visiting the many sites and activities in the region (Sigiriya rock, Minneriya NP, Dambulla cave temples, Pollonaruwa, and more). Definitely recommend - we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Lovely, friendly family owned hotel. Excellent food (be prepared for a massive, homemade tasty Sri Lankan breakfast). Outdoor facilities a little basic but clearly a work in progress in improving. Pool and room were lovely.
Nice nature walks nearby. Would recommend vegetarian dinner options.

The most amazing view we’ve ever had. The hotel is gorgeous, they have a nice main area and a big pool with bar! The rooms were big and clean. The staff had much hospitality and they always wanted to do everything to make us feel at home. We had some laundry that needed to be done so the staff did some extra work and maked sure the laundry was clean and done when we needed to leave.

Although we faced an issue at check-in regarding the twin and double beds—and were initially offered a terrace room instead of the balcony room we had booked—the hotel eventually provided the correct accommodation. The room was well-appointed, with good facilities and amenities. The food was delicious, and the staff was generally satisfactory. However, I strongly urge the hotel to maintain consistency in room amenities regardless of a guest’s nationality, especially when the same price is paid. The first room they assigned us (a twin room with a terrace) lacked essential amenities such as a cupboard, tea and coffee facilities, and a kettle. In contrast, the room prepared for foreign guests was fully equipped and well-maintained. Every guest, whether local or international, deserves the same standard of hospitality and service.

The food here is amazing! Really, it’s that good!! The hotel is very reasonable for the price, tea and coffee facilities with a shower inside the room (outside showers appear to be a thing here) but the chef and his mastery of curries is fantastic. Can’t recommend highly enough!!

The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We were particularly pleased with the organization help we received - including a tuktuk from the train station, advice and booking of our trip to lions rock, as well as a car to Kandy. Our trip was made seamless and comfortable at this hotel. Not to mention the food was incredibly tasty and delicious- felt like authentic Sri Lankan home cooking.
