A very nice and clean house. The house is run by a couple who take excellent care of their guests. Always obliging and super nice, they help with the planning and give tips.
The house is located in a side street right next to the coastal road and with a tuktuk or scooter you can be at any hotspot (surfing, cafes, bars etc.) in just a few minutes.
Scooters can be hired directly on site.
There is also the option of having breakfast/dinner at the hotel. We tried both and had delicious local dishes at a good price.
Highly recommended and if we come to Weligama again, we will go here.

Beautiful rooms with extremely kind hosts. The couple who ran this place are very helpful and sweet. Great location near Weligama, Ahangama, and Mirissa Beach. Local food spots less than five minutes by walk.

We booked this place and told the host our arrival time many times. They suddenly canceled our reservation without telling us.
We arrived at midnight with luggage from Airport, in the rain, and the host ignored all our calls. No answer at all.

We had nowhere to go. My wife and I ended up sleeping on the street until morning cold, scared, and humiliated.

This host is greedy, unprofessional, and doesn’t care about guests. They probably took a better booking and left us stranded.
Never book here. You could easily end up in the same dangerous situation. Choose any other place.

0 stars if possible. Avoid at all costs!

If you wanna feel the hospitality in Sri Lanka and Weligama!
That’s the place. As a solo traveler I felt having my second parents in Sri Lanka!

Mama and Papa will take care of you, worry about you and treat you as their son/daughter!!

I will definitely be back Mama & Papa 🥰!!

Castle Bay Resort has become my second home in Sri Lanka. The family that owns it took care of me as if I was their daughter. They are amazing people! The hotel itself is the best place you can find for this price. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable with spacious common balconies. Breakfast is in big portions. Located in a quiet street close to the beach. I absolutely recommend!

Even though there was a mix-up with our reservation, staff went out of the way to get us a room. Very friendly and kind. Location is at edge of town but transportation readily available.

The proximity to the dive center was a key factor in choosing our accommodation. We received a warm welcome. The hosts were very friendly, spoke German, and gave us lots of tips for our stay. The house curry was also very good. Thank you for everything 😀

More spiritual place, I have not met. Everything here is full of beautiful feelings and wonderful energy of the people who created it.
I recommend to all who expect from a holiday of tranquility, homeliness and warmth.
You definitely will not feel like a hotel, you will be the guest of the very wonderful people! And be careful not to bite fingers clean.

Or choppy waves, if the surf (go left).
