A very nice hotel. Breakfast was excellent (a large selection at the buffet, including egg dishes and coffee made to order). Dinner was prepared to a high standard and very tasty. We had a side room without a balcony. The room was furnished tastefully and practically. The staff was always friendly and attentive!

We had planned to stay here and therefore agreed to pay a CHF 300 deposit which they happily and easily took thru our credit card. Well (we thought regrettably) we were not able to go so we cancelled our reservation well in advance of the cancellation deadline. When we asked to just put the credit on our credit card somehow they lost their ability to transact on a credit card and claimed they could only refund to a checking account. While I gave them all the information, I also advised them that I thought it would be a problem since our account is in dollars. Well nothing ever arrived and when asked was only told it was difficult to send money to the US. So I finally gave up and went to our credit card company who quickly resolved the problem to our satisfaction.

This is a great hotel, this is the second time I have stayed here. The staff (desk, restaurant, bar, room service) are all friendly and clearly committed to making one’s stay as enjoyable as possible. There is a responsive service to take guests to and from the ski lifts although it is possible to ski back to the hotel.
There is also a large ( by hotel standards) swimming pool that forms part of a fitness area with sauna etc.

It is a beautiful Hotel with a very nice mountain view.
They are picking you up from the Train station for no additional fees.
The food is also great and the staff is very nice.
Although the Spa is very beautiful the outdoor whirlpool didn't work. It just said out of order.
This wouldn't be a problem if we would have received a heads up.
Sadly they did not tell ua at check in that the Whirlpool was broken. So we asked and they told us that its was broken for a few months now.
We booked our staying about 1-2 months before and there was no warning about the malfunction.
If we knew this we probably would've picked a different Hotel.

Awful Experience – Avoid This Hotel! This hotel is nothing like what it advertises on Tripadvisor or Booking or website. We booked a “Superior Double Room South Side” with a big window and mountain views, but got a depressing room with small window and a view of dead trees. When we asked for the room we booked, the administrator rudely dismissed us, saying the hotel is 120 years old and rooms vary. The restaurant was equally disappointing. This hotel is outdated, overpriced, and poorly managed. We left much earlier. Don’t waste your time and money!

We stayed for the first time at Blatter's Bellavista, for two nights. And we loved it - is an understatement. We were upgraded for free to a corner room - and much enjoyed to be woken up by the sun in the morning. The balcony - private - and looking into the trees mountains, simply outstanding! The charm of the hotel is a perfect combination of the old building (approx. 100 years old) and most modern upgrade. The staff is very friendly and helpful - we had some unfortunate luck during our first dinner, but it was very well managed by the owner and staff, and the second dinner was perfect. We also much enjoyed the spa and pool area, a decent size indoor pool and please treat yourself for a nice massage! We will be back!
