Such a wonderful hotel! The staff is very kind and extremely service oriented, the cleanliness is immaculate and the location is fantastic. We had a wonderful vacation staying with Ascovilla. Thank you Mrs. Faucherre and your team for making our stay so wonderful.

Dream Hotel for old and young ❤️
The hotel is very well situated, right on the Swiss coastline of lake Maggiore, next to the infamous hotel Eden Rock in Ascona. It is easy to reach the town center by walk within just 5 minutes, or even easier and faster with the bikes of the hotel. Though, the hotel was very quite with a relaxing atmosphere.
The rooms were comfortable, already renovated and very clean. Nice turn down service in the evening. The breakfast buffet was rich, offering buffet and á la minute orders.
Great thank you to the staff. They were very friendly, helpful and very attentive. For e.g. we put our glasses of orange juice down on an empty table in the morning. When we came back from the buffet the table was already perfectly set. 😍👏
The pool is quite big and heated, offering a pool bar and pool side restaurant, where you can order drinks and snacks during the day.

I absolutely loved my stay here. The service was warm, friendly and extremely efficient. The room was very comfortable and the location is perfect. I will definitely be coming back.

Amazing location, nice pool area and good breakfast. Unfortunately super thin walls, we heard every word, toilet flush or water running of our neighbor room(s). Also, bed was full of hair which wasn’t mine.
Personally the worst was the restaurant issue: as they don’t have enough capacity, they collaborate with other restaurants in town. But they didn’t let us reserve a table in advance, even though we asked proactively when we booked.
When we checked-in, we were given a trashy hostel style restaurant as the only choice. I mean, this is a 4* hotel, they should better partner with restaurants which offer a similar level, similar style. No go. When we complained, suddenly there were other choices - why didn’t we get these immediately?? We felt like we were put in a box because we dressed in hiking clothing... such a wrong treatment.. very strange and not guest friendly. You should treat all of your guests equally and worthy of 4*. We are paying the same price!

Very nice and quiet small hotel close to the lakeside, clean and comfortable rooms and friendly multilingual staff. Cherry on the cake was the availability of bicycles free of charge to the hotel guests! I would definitely recommend this place in Ascona.

I stayed at the hotel when I was a kid quite often. Going back there now was so amazing! It brought back many fond memories of mine.

Friendly staff, good food

My expectations weren't very high, however that pizza was the worst I had in decades; the dough was burned and hadn't risen. Toppings had no taste. Sorry for not giving credit to the service which was really nice.. Apparently the cook changed a year ago which may explain better reviews in the past..

Perfect for couples, direct to the Lake view, walking distance tothe Restaurants, around the Lake area. Very easy access by Car or by Bus.

We were in a 2nd floor room with small balcony. 2 patio chairs and great views. We ate at the hotel's restaurant on the lake which was fine dining. If you have half board, you only have one choice of a main meal, which is unusual. It was not a problem for us but could be for others.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Romantik Hotel Castello. The staff was exceptional always so kind, helpful, and attentive, which made the experience even more special. My room had an incredible view that made every moment feel unforgettable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and welcoming stay.

We had the most wonderful experience, and a huge part of that was thanks to Daniel Heiserer, who helped us organize our wedding in the most amazing way. From the planning to the execution, everything was handled with care, professionalism, and a genuine desire to make our day perfect.
The castle itself is beautiful, elegant, comfortable, and very well maintained. The atmosphere and service made the whole experience even more special.
One of the highlights was the restaurant garden with its stunning lake view, a peaceful, romantic setting that added so much to our experience.
And the food? Absolutely excellent. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented.
We couldn’t have asked for a better place or team to help us celebrate such a special moment. Highly recommended!

Beautiful location. Very nice staff: friendly, caring. The room was clean and due to wind weather they even brought an extra heater. Breakfast without excess, but everything is very fresh and delicious. I was very pleased with the hotel.
