Mpole Bungalows in Michamvi

Everything was perfect. The hotel is very well located and very close to the beach. The staff is extremely friendly, always smiling and helpful, and the manager is also very kind. The breakfast is delicious, and the swimming pool is absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an excellent stay.

The mpole bungalows, is a quiet charming place to stay, it has a small swimming pool, set within a garden with fruit trees and swinging day beds. It has a small restaurant, and bar. The bungalows are 30 seconds from the beach, where you can see the sunset, there is an all-night bar from midday to 7am, at sunset a fire is lit, we did not hear any noise from our bungalow. You can do activities and get massages direct from the beach. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

Very nice location, well integrated into the surrounding nature, well maintained and above all managers attentive to sustainability which is very important. Not recommended for those looking for luxury and perfection, it is a simple place and as such you need to know how to appreciate it. There are continuous voltage drops and lack of electricity even for prolonged periods - obviously they do not depend on the structure but the whole area is affected. The people who work there, including the owners, are nice and helpful. Nobody speaks Italian, but everyone speaks fluent English so there are no problems making themselves understood. The swimming pool is also very nice and offers a valid alternative to the hours when there is low tide. The rooms are large and clean like all the common areas. Ultimately, a simple accommodation, intimate because it has few rooms and with good access to Michamvi Kae beach. So I would recommend it to those who want to relax and those looking for peace and tranquility. The internal restaurant offers a good hearty breakfast and good local cuisine for lunch and dinner, while the European dishes are worth a look. Not recommended for those looking for luxury and perfection, it is a simple place and as such you need to know how to appreciate it. We were unable to pay by card due to a POS malfunction.

Amazing location , beautiful beach , beautiful food , rooms are perfect , the pool/chill area is amazing too and every member of staff are beautiful people with amazing service we even had a day trip sorted for us by mohammed who made it feel so easy and stress free !! Will 100% come back next time i am visiting zanzibar island

Went to lounge by the pool and have their prawn curry, which was excellent. Friendly staff and a great view of the ocean!

This place was like a dream. Very quiet, right on the beach. You can see the sunrise from your bed. The rooms were clean and the staff is friendly. The food is also very good, they make the best curry. Tasty breakfast and super delicious fresh juice ❤ best place if you would like a relaxed vacation.

The view is just breathtaking. I was in one of the beach-facing bungalows with the waves lapping no more than 20 metres from the end of the bed. To see the sunrise and the moonrise from your bed, as well as to see the traditional Dhow fisherman sail by every now and then was just magical. Sublime, even. Muhammed was always readily available to help organize and advise on tours and activities and to help with navigating the local area - ordering taxis, helping you to locate the nearest pharmacy or the nearest barber and so on. The owner Anna was extremely polite and made me feel very welcome indeed. The pool was always super clean and there are many lounge chairs, swinging beds and hammocks to lie on and enjoy the stunning view and the sun. Bliss. In general the accommodation was excellent value for money and very much in line with the standards in Zanzibar. I stayed at Mnana for 8 nights and while the food was excellent (especially the seafood) it did get a bit repetitive by the very end. There were frequent power cuts (beyond the control of Mnana) which meant that there were some times during my stay where the air conditioning, WiFi and hot water did not work. This wasn't so much of an issue though as I was not there to surf the internet but to enjoy the view. I would definitely come back.

We had fantastic stay for one night with our family. Mnana have unbelievable amazing sea view, rooms is big and 5 star standard. Swimming pool was great as well. Staff friendly and helpful. Thank you Mnana!
