Warere Beach in Nungwi

This stay was honestly something out of a dream. Having a room that overlooks the beach was already incredible, but the private mini pool took the whole experience to another level. Sitting in the pool while enjoying the endless ocean view it truly felt like an infinity escape. Waking up to the sound of the waves and that uninterrupted view of the sea was so peaceful and refreshing. It’s the kind of place where you can completely switch off and just soak in the beauty around you. Everything about the stay felt luxurious yet so calming. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a special, relaxing getaway with unforgettable views. Definitely a place I’d come back to!

Amazing location. This hotel is right on the beach and had an excellent restaurant. The management was extremely kind and went to the pharmacy for us to pick up some medication for sea sickness. This hotel could use some refreshing. My room air-conditioner leaked all over my clothes. But they were very efficient in drying my clothes. One suggestion I would make is that the rooms that are not in the main building would be quieter. We were in the main building and it was quite loud for some reason- maintenance happening late at night and piped in music. The staff was very friendly.

Requested and got the best room...seafront with the sound of the sea plus the colours of the water made this a very memorable stay.Great pool to be a lounge lizard if desired.Beautiful surroundings and quiet atmosphere.Service and staff exceptional. N.B.It's a one and half hour drive from to/ the airport.Don't let that deter you!

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was phenomenal and extremely accommodating. If you’re looking for a large sandy beach just steps away from your hotel this may not be your place. There is a beautiful pool overlooking the ocean and a very small and rocky beach area. It was extremely quiet and family friendly! We enjoyed being away from crowds of tourists and vendors. One thing to improve upon is the food. Breakfast was free and was decent. Lunch and dinner was a bit underwhelming. Overall, I would recommend for a good value stay!

Just returned from this great hotel last week, Myself and Wife had eleven nights staying in a ocean front deluxe room which was well appointed with a comfortable bed and smashing views over the sea/reef, fitted our needs completely. The swimming pool area was well maintained and serviced with just a handful of guests on most days offering such a relaxing and tranquil experience, so good that we only went out on a few trips arranged by the hotel, the trips they offer are good value and personal so no hanging about for additional guests from other places. We chose to eat at the hotel every night as the food was extremely good with an expansive menu all at great value, breakfast was included with the room rate and was just as impressive. We did have two little technical issues with our room during our stay that made it necessary for us to sleep in another room on each occasion, firstly a small part of the ceiling collapsed then some days later we experienced electrical problems. On both occasions within minutes of us notifying the staff the Manager (David) and Assistant Manager (Enoch) came to the room with the maintenance chief to assess the situation and plan repairs while we were shown to another room, by the morning we were briefed on the detailed progress and repairs and returned to our room later in the day, what a fantastic job done by all involved. The Management team kindly credited our account with the slight difference in the room rates for those nights and generously provided complimentary dinner for two nights as a welcome apology for any inconvenience we encountered. Top regards for such a good recovery and any inconvenience was very minimal to us as the team made it all seem so easy. Talking team I can only say that the Managers and the entire team are brilliant, they are we trained in hospitality but all have a genuine friendly attitude, within days of being at the hotel is starts to feel like a well managed private members club, All guests and staff seems to have a great understanding of each others needs and everyone has a smile on their face. If ever we found ourselves in Zanzibar once more we would be going back to this hotel, it’s a real gem.

Discovered by chance, glad I did, great location, stayed in the garden cottage’s, (3 weeks) nice veranda and view , cleaned every day and evenings sprayed with repellent and mosquito nets unraveled,can’t fault any of the meals , from breakfast through lunch & dinner ( even special occasions Xmas/ new year) gala dinner nights , staff are faultless nothing is a problem for them ( a great team), I’ve been visiting Zanzibar for over 10 years + and my last visit ended even before I hit the airport, ( hotel shut down) emailed Shauna ( hotel boss) and no problem I’ll find a room for you, so that’s twice I’ve had the luxury and pampering from everyone at Warere beach, can’t praise enough, love to everyone, see you all again, Mfalme of Warere. This hotel is just brilliant! We were booked into here by Luna Safari (see separate review for them) for some R&R after climbing Kilimanjaro. It was just what was needed. The size of the hotel is just perfect and means it never feels overcrowded and there were plenty of beds by the pool and tables in the restaurant. The food is fantastic and there is a good mix of items to cater for all tastes. The rooms are perfect for what you need, it was refreshing to be in a hotel without a TV in the room, who needs one with the views. I was in a beach view bungalow in the beautiful and well tended garden. The beach is accessible directly from the hotel via a set of steps and you can walk into the busier part of Nungwi from here. At low tide there are a number of sandbanks that you can walk to and explore. The staff are absolutely wonderful, incredibly friendly and can't do enough for you. The manager was brilliant and arranged several trips at short notice for us, tailoring them to our specific requirements, nothing was too much trouble. Zanzibar is an absolutely beautiful place, made even better by the people there who shape your experience. Thank you team Warere!

Everything is just perfect here. We absolutely loved our stay in this dreamy and romantic hideaway. The staff are super sweet, welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food is a wonderful fusion of local and familiar dishes. We appreciated the special touches. From the home-made fresh juice on our arrival to the petals on the bed. The hotel has a classy feel with professional finishings as well as Swahili touches and a stunning view of the Indian Ocean. The hotel can also organise day trips. We adored our day on the boat where we swam with dolphins and snorkelled around the coral reef to see an array of tropical fish and starfish.

Just arrived home after the best adventure holiday of my life, arranged by Luna Safari. Firstly a group of 13 of us climbed Kilimanjaro! Luna Safari suggested adding a trip to Zanzibar to recover from the trek! Wow wow wow what a beautiful hotel with exemplary service, Warere Beach had everything and more. The food menu was delicious and I had octopus everyday. Heaven. It’s really hard to put into words how grateful I am. So I’ll stick with a simple thank you team Luna Safari and team Warere Beach it was epic.
