Khaosok Bamboo Huts Resort in Khao Sok

First off, the service was excellent. We easily changed our arrival date over the phone, and the host updated it directly with Booking.com.

On our last day, the taxi arrived too early for breakfast, but the host kindly packed to-go boxes for us! 🙏🏻

Note: The Google photos and at least one video don't show the current BAMBOO HUTS. They've replaced them with concrete houses, which was a bit disappointing for us. That said, the rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable—with better temperature control and fewer spiders. No TV, but we didn't miss it with the beautiful jungle right outside.

Right next to the hotel, there's a major construction site underway—it might get noisier in the coming months. We got lucky as they had just started.

The city center and restaurants are a 10–15 minute walk (go slow to avoid sweating), but a taxi is recommended.

The offered tours are fantastic! We did the one-day lake trip, night safari, and rafting. The lake is a must, but the others were great too!

Just outside of Khao Sok but only a short walk. Felt very peaceful and safe. Really tidy clean bamboo hut. Thank you!

The rooms were really spacious, clean, and comfortable, located right in the national park. The quiet setting, solid breakfast, and very helpful team made the stay even better. The WiFi in the rooms was also extremely strong.
The team’s English could be improved, which would make on-site bookings and communication easier.

I stayed here for 3 nights with breakfast included.

If you are celiac or gluten intolerant, please be aware that the staff is not familiar with what “gluten-free” means. You may need to explain it as “no wheat” or “no bread” to be understood. This was a common issue for me in Khao Sok.

The breakfast includes only one set option:
• Scrambled or fried eggs
• Pancakes + bread (which I replaced with yogurt and fruit)
• Salad and homemade jam
• Instant coffee, milk, and juice (not fresh)

I was initially told that the pancakes were made with rice flour. However, I asked to see the package in the kitchen and it clearly stated “white wheat flour,” so they were not gluten-free.

After I explained exactly what I could not eat, the staff was kind and willing to adapt. On the second and third day, they replaced the bread and pancakes with yogurt and fruit.

That said, there is likely a risk of cross-contamination. For example, when I mentioned I couldn’t eat bread, they initially suggested simply removing it from the plate rather than preparing a new one.

Overall, the staff is friendly and helpful, but if you are celiac, you need to communicate very clearly and double-check ingredients to ensure safety.

Kind and helpful owner, she gave me and my friends extra bed for free. This place so comfortable (for one who love nature), clean and cozy. No air con, but that's really fine and don't forget to buy anti mosquito lotion before visit this resort.

Great hotel with nice huts. The garden is lovely to watch from your own porch. Breakfast is ok. Would recommend to go here.

Very accommodating, kind and helpful hosts. Highly recommend. From lightning bugs, to frogs, lizards, the most colourful flora and fruit trees, the experience was authentic jungle.

Clean rooms, some with air-conditioning. In the jungle so you hear lot of relaxing jungle sounds. Friendly staff, they help you with arranging activities in the neighborhood and give you tools for that activities. After the logement, they dropped us at the van station.
