Baan Bida in Krabi City

We stayed here for two nights and unfortunately were not very satisfied with our experience. Even though our stay was quite short, there were several issues that made it uncomfortable.

The air conditioning didn’t work properly — it wouldn’t turn off or on as it should. We had to remove the power card several times to reset it before we could use it normally again. The toilet flush kept running for up to half an hour unless you spent quite some time fixing it manually, which was especially annoying at night.

At one point, the door lock broke, and we were literally stuck inside the room for about 20 minutes. The lock had to be replaced while we were away, which was an uncomfortable situation since all our belongings were still in the room (nothing went missing, but it still felt uneasy).

The towels smelled a bit musty from the beginning, and while the receptionist was friendly, she was rarely available. It was difficult to reach anyone when something needed to be reported.

When we checked out, we couldn’t even leave our luggage safely at the reception — the only option was to “hide it somewhere” outside in the garden area, which didn’t feel appropriate for a hotel.

The bed was uncomfortable, the blanket didn’t smell fresh (there was even a slight smell of urine), and the bed sheet kept slipping off the mattress all night.

Also, be aware that the hotel is about a 30-minute walk from the actual town, along a very busy and sunny road — not a pleasant walk at all.

On a positive note, we can recommend Pizzeria Napoli nearby — great food and a nice place for dinner. Unfortunately, the rest of our stay was disappointing. There is definitely room for improvement, and for the price, too.
