We had a great stay in Chintakiri resort, the view from room balcony will make your knees weak//gorgeous , stunning! Staff was excellent - humble and helpful. Mind that it’s a steep hill and stairs to the resort but the view makes up for it! Works great with two people on scooter.

Lovely infinity pool and amazing views. Food on site was very good. Big disadvantage was all the steep steps on site so you need to be fit also the very very steep hill up-to the hotel. The location means you are very scheduled unless you have a moped. Not suitable for families or people who are not super fit or getting on in age.

This place is absolutely divine with the most incredible views, comfortable bungalows and world class cuisine that is so delicious I’m sure I gained several pounds. The icing on the cake though is the staff, and I mean everyone, even the staff that you don’t really notice like the cleaners and grounds men are delightful when you run into them. Gan, the lady on the front desk is an utter delight. Charming, hard working with nothing too much trouble and happy to take the time to chat and show genuine interest in you. The two lovely young women working in the restaurant and desk, Bee and Zen are totally lovely with the same ‘can do’ attitude, level of service and attention to detail that Gan shows. I really have to say it’s 5 star service and I loved it so much I cried when we left. I will visit again soon. Absolutely loved it! Well done Chintakiri team, you guys are the absolute best x

Fair value for price, friendly staff, no red flags
Small, family-run style hotel in the mountain. Decent restaurant. Very friendly staff. Great views. Far from everything, but then just like 70% of koh tao's hotels, wherever they are located. If you rent a motorbike or are willing to move across the island by taxi, you will be fine. The beach closer to this hotel is not the nicest / cleanest in koh tao. Laundry and other restaurants 5-10 min walk. They should have a shuttle service to mae haad, it would add +10 points to the overall experience. Happy nonetheless.

I loved my stay at Chintakiri Resort. The rooms are spacious with strong AC and a fan. Each room has a large balcony with an incredible view of the bay. The facilities are very nice, including a small, but very nice infinity pool with a gorgeous view. Breakfast is made to order. Every employee was friendly and so helpful. They will offer suggestions for outings and help you to book. Please note that this resort is up a very steep hill that is quite a climb (even when you are in-shape) and the resort itself is full of stairs. You must be easily mobile to stay here. And unless you rent a scooter, you will spend quite a bit of money for taxis to/from the resort ($300-$500 baht per one-way trip). As a solo female traveler I felt very safe at this resort (and on Koh Tao in general) and would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for two days in Koh Tao ten years ago and was impressed, so I chose this place again this time. Advantages: halfway up the mountain, very quiet, unbeatable balcony view, family room with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, spacious room. Disadvantages: the water heater needs to be turned on by the air conditioner and it is slow to heat up, the location is slightly off, the slope at the entrance is very steep, climbing up and down is very tiring, but it is also an interesting experience, and the hotel takes too long to serve the food. An extra quilt costs 200 pigs.

Breathtaking view from the terrace. Good rooms, clean and strong AC. We had breakfast included but it was very basic and rather small. Veeerrry steep slope to reach the hotel. It was tricky to find the hotel following Google directions, pay attention at the signs on the road.
