Ban's Diving Resort in Koh Tao Island

We did our open water here and had the best time! KiKi was AMAZING! I was a bit nervous at first and she was so reassuring and helpful. We learnt lots and really enjoyed it. KiKi was so relaxed it made the whole experience really chilled. We even met someone who trained with her last year and wanted her to do their advanced with her and I can see why!
Rooms are good- we stayed in the 12 bed (it had curtains, a light and a shelf) and a private and both were nice.
Lots of pools and a great location

I went to a diving school here. The open water diving course is about 400 dollars for 4 days, which I consider very affordable compared to the whole experience you get yourselves and the hard work everyone put into from instructors to the equipment washing crews. And the accommodation is 6 dollars a night. Yes, it is 6 dollars a night without any zeros. It is a dormitory style yet it is surprisingly clean and quiet. The location is also very convenient to 7-eleven and many good cheap restaurants. By all the means, I highly recommend the school, and if you are going here for school anyway, you can just stay at the dorm here.

We did the Padi Open Water Course here - Kiki was our instructor, and was amazing! Such a good teacher, we asked for her to do our advanced course as well!

We stayed in Dorm rooms for three nights and a standard double for two nights. Dorms are clean, beds have curtains and you get towels. Most people are diving, so up fairly early. Excellent place to stay, and lots of great pools too

Our scuba diving experience was absolutely exceptional, and we owe it all to Anthony Griffiths from Bans Diving. From the very first moment, Anthony was incredibly attentive, professional, and reassuring. With 34 years of experience, he has an amazing ability to make you feel completely safe and confident underwater. We loved our Open Water course so much that we decided to continue with the Adventure Course, and it turned out to be some of the most beautiful experiences of our lives. Highlights included an unforgettable night dive surrounded by fluorescent plankton and an incredible shipwreck dive that left us speechless. Anthony’s passion, kindness, and dedication truly made this journey magical. We absolutely love him and cannot recommend him enough. I completed my Open Water certification with Fantille at Ban’s Diving Resort and it was a fantastic experience. Fantille was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and made the whole process fun and relaxed. Everything was well organized, safety was clearly a priority, and I felt confident and supported throughout the dives. The atmosphere was friendly and enjoyable, making the experience even better. Absolutely first class diving and stay experience at Ban's. Our dive instructor Maria was amazing and the staff treated our kids like royalty, they even looked after our 5 year old while the rest of us dived. The room was huge and very well maintained, just a few minutes walk from the beach. Even though it was the peak Christmas season everything went very smoothly and there were always sun loungers and seating for everyone as there are 4 pools in this place.

Accommodation near Sairee Beach, Koh Tao, beautiful rooms. There is a full range of services, including diving training and island tours.

The bans staff are very friendly and very helpful. The room was well priced and beautiful with a very comfortable bed.
The restuarent is very well priced compared to a lot of the expensive places to eat on the island.
Our first diving experience was made more incredible by our lovely instructor.

We took our open water course with Ban's. Darren and Aristo were our instructors, they make it relaxing and easy to learn. Darren took his time to ensure everyone is on the same page, with great emphasis on safety. Out of all the other dive resort, Ban's likely the biggest and most organized. Recommend staying at Ban's as well, so you can easily go back to your room and relax a bit between classes.
