Booked a few days. Extended to a month. At the top of the hill so a bike definitely makes it easier. But a good walk past the many places to eat, drink and be merry on this lush island. Joe is a great host and happy to assist with any issues. Rooms are cleaned whenever we wanted. Fresh linen and towels whenever we wanted. The bungalows themselves are spacious and detached (no noisy neighbours). And the rooftop access is another addition so you can watch the flora, fauna and sea sunsets (if you don't get to the beach for some reason). Definitely recommend

For money we paid is good option.
Room with good A/C. Cleanliness is not European standards but this is Asia with full of surprises :).
Not in centre but if you are here for few days then you need motorbike for easy transport.

Room was nice and spacious and the bed sheets were clean which is hard to find in Asia. Unfortunately we had a few problems when we stayed here, firstly there was an ants nest in the bathroom which was very unpleasant and shows that they don’t clean the bathrooms properly because it was very obvious to notice. Secondly the man who “owns” the bungalows was no where to be seen, we asked someone to clean the room because of the ants and waited hours for someone to do it. Also if you wanted towels or toilet roll you had to get it yourself from a dirty cupboard as no one was there to get it for you. Lastly the man who owns the restaurant by the bungalows was very unhelpful and unfriendly although he checked us in so he must have something to do with the bungalows.

Very unwelcoming staff. Inadequate bedding, pillow with big stains. I do not recommend this accommodation.

It was a really nice stay in Baan Aunrak! Joe, the owner, is a really nice and generous person, he didn‘t just save us by borrowing us his tent when we didnt found a payable place to stay for one night, he also stored our baggage and gave us some kitchen equipment:) thank you again joe! Very easy Communication due to his english and GERMAN skills!! The room was also very good for a good price! Low budget backpacker friendly;)
