- very busy nightlife = loud noises inside the hostel, from 10pm-4am the hostel has people moving around, neighbors will slide their doors and leave them unlocked so there’s a constant beeping noise at sleeping hours. This happened every night for a week. Bring earplugs.
- shower + toilet on different floor = inconvenience especially during nighttime going up and down different levels to go, bathroom toilet lids were loose and wonky.
-lift didn’t work on first day of check in = had to use stairs instead for luggage
-working ladies live in the hostel, which wasn’t a massive issue but just to be aware
Pros:
-quick and easy check in process
-location was good
-staff asked us if we wanted our rooms cleaned
The room was good — the air conditioner was cool and there was also a fan inside the room, which made the temperature very comfortable. The hostel was clean and the location was very convenient. The separate bathroom area was also good enough for a hostel: the water pressure was strong and the hot water worked well.
One small downside is that there is only one hair dryer available in the washroom hand-wash area, so guests may need to wait if it is busy.
The only major issue I experienced was with the customer service. The staff seemed to have difficulty communicating in English and were not very patient in trying to understand what guests needed. They were also frequently away from the service counter, so sometimes it took about 5–10 minutes to find someone to assist with check-in or check-out.
Overall, the facilities and location are good, but the service could definitely be improved.
