The location is perfect - just a short walk to the vibrant Chinatown. Highly recommended!
The private rooms for two were okay, although they felt a bit like a prison cell. The dorms, however, were a disappointment. Many guests stay here long-term, so the rooms are cluttered with their belongings and often messy. The hostel is also home to many older residents who seem to live here permanently and are not particularly welcoming to new guests.
The check-in process went smoothly, and the reception is open 24/7. However, outside of check-in and check-out times, the staff at the front desk didn’t speak a word of English, making communication impossible. The hostel also advertises a washing machine, but it was out of order during our stay.
Overall, this is not a great place if you’re looking for a typical backpacker-friendly hostel experience.
Hair dryer is available in shared bathroom.
I would not stay again even for free.
