It’s a good hostel and breakfast changes daily so that’s nice. Soneviursure and inside public spaces. I’d stay again. I liked it.

First of all, I didn't have the full hostel experience as I was there with a friend. Nevertheless, I can say that there were many small inconveniences that are simply impractical for a hostel and the travellers associated with it. The first impression from the outside was: nice, modern, lots of young people on the veranda, good location and friendly staff. The first inconvenience, however, was that we had to pay the full amount at check-in in cash. We had just arrived and therefore had no cash with us. Even if there was an ATM not far away, it was a bit of a hassle for us. We then had to leave a deposit for both room cards as my friend had booked the room for both of us. We would get the money back at check-out, but what should we do with the money then? Logically, we then leave Thailand and can no longer spend the money. We spent 5 nights in a room for four. The room was very small and barely had enough space for 4 people's luggage. It was relatively stuffy as there was no window. And without sounding like a spoilt brat, but the beds were rock hard. We wanted to do laundry, but when we asked at the loby, we were handed a piece of paper and told to indicate how much of each item that we wanted to wash. This confused us, as a sign said: Price per kg. If we had known this in advance, we would have counted our clothes privately in the room and certainly not in the lobby. It was just too inconvenient, so we decided not to do our laundry there. Lastly, another small inconvenience was that we had booked a tour where we would be picked up at 8:15. As there was a small coffee shop in the hostel, which is open from 8am-5pm, we thought we would get a coffee there at 8 o'clock. Although we were sitting there 10 minutes before 8 and the staff could see us, they didn't open the coffee shop. We tried to open the door at 8:03, so it was clear to all the staff there that we wanted a coffee. Nevertheless, they didn't let us in. They just looked at us and talked to each other. It would have been different if they had informed us or said something. But unfortunately, we were picked up at 8.15am without being given a coffee in our hostel despite that they should have been opened for 15 minutes. On the plus side, the bathroom on this floor was large and had plenty of showers and toilets, as you would expect from a hostel. There was a water refill station and a fridge on the ground floor. The rooftop was cute and there were lots of social activities which we didn't use but which are certainly great for socialising. Again, it was only small things but they added up, hence the 3 stars.

This hostel is nice and modern! I want to start with saying that I didn’t get the full solo/hostel experience because I was traveling with a friend and we were pretty much out exploring the city all day every day. Upon check in, I was told I needed to pay for the stay in cash. I have stayed in many hostels and don’t recall having to do this before. There was an atm not far.. but it was inconvenient after a long day of travel when you just want to get to your room. We also had to pay an additional 600 THB for an extra key (that would be returned upon checkout) for my friend since I had booked both of our beds. I didn’t fully understand why an additional key was extra when there were two people for two separate beds. Had we booked separately for the same beds, she would have been given her own key anyway. And another thing, upon check out, most travelers will be leaving Thailand.. so what do I do with 600 THB right before I head to the airport?Aside from that, the rooms were very simple, what you would expect for a hostel. There was not much room in them though at all. Very narrow and hardly anywhere to put our luggage. I also felt our room was a bit warm in the evenings and our beds pretty stiff. The bathrooms were fine and spacious though. Again, what you would expect for a hostel. Another minor inconvenience, we were told briefly about the laundry service that was provided upon check in. I brought down a rather large bag of laundry and when I inquired about having my laundry done, I was told that I needed to write down the counts for each item I had in my bag. Had I known this previously, I would’ve done this in the privacy of my room. I was not going to do it in the main area of the hostel. Feeling rather annoyed, I drug the bag back to my room and decided to just wait until my next accommodation. Lastly, there is a coffee shop on site. It appears very cute and modern! The hours on the door list 8am-5pm. We had a tour one morning where a driver would pick us up between 8:15 and 8:20 and we thought, perfect, we can grab a coffee downstairs before we head out. We sat outside from 7:50-8:15 and even tried opening the door several minutes after 8. Not only was the coffee shop not open, but it is all glass so the employees continued to open and stare at us waiting instead of communicating that perhaps they are running late, etc. Again, all minor inconveniences but they do add up.. On a more positive note, there were tons of travelers, numerous opportunities for social events that were held, and a neat rooftop bar. I would actually stay here again and give it another shot because I feel that I did miss out on the little “community” there!

Modern, clean, and quiet place to stay. Location is close to either the sites, or within walking distance of transport that takes you there. Clientele skews to the older, social, but not a party house. Good places to eat nearby. Beds are comfortable, AC is strong, bathrooms are clean. The locker for your luggage is smaller, fitting a 40L backpack so a larger one would not work. Nice to always have water to refill yours, as well as a fridge/freezer to make it cold. They have egg sandwiches for people to take as lunch in a crunch. I didn’t try one so I can’t comment on how good it was. But hospitable attempt! Disclaimer: The view from the rooftop is not as noteworthy as it seems in the pictures. The map they give out with nearby attractions is all you need to enjoy your time in Bangkok.

Great location and atmosphere. Quiet clean with an industrial modern Asian design. The highlight is the 'villager room' wooden bunk beds with curtain and metal lock gates. A nice travel sanctuary in BKK.

Best hostel ever. Clean and pretty rooms with comfortable beds. Very nice and helpful receptionists who speaks English fluently. Whole hostel is made in amazing industrial style. And what is more it is cheap! Hostel situated in center of Bangkok so it is close to every place. Really amazing place

The rooms are great - well airconditioned, no bed bugs or mosquitoes, good thick curtains, comfy beds. The common area is not so great - it's open to the outside so that means it's not very cool and there are plenty of mosquitoes. Wifi here was solid though. If there weren't so many mosquitoes in the public lounge area, I'd give this place 5 stars easy.

The location is also quite decent, near many sites of interest and really good pad thai restaurant!

Lovely, affordable hostel in a relatively quiet area but still a central location. They have USB charging ports in the rooms and the air con works perfectly. Plenty of food and cafes nearby and the Wat Suthat temple is within walking distance - definitely recommend visiting! They provide you with a useful information leaflet and water that is replenished everyday.

If you are looking for a place outside the high rises that is in walking distance to major places and public transit- this is a winner. We had a private room for the three of us and booked the suv to and from the airport through them. Beds were very comfy, rooms were very clean. We did have a 4 floor walk up but made the AC even more amazing. Loved going to the cafe to start the day each morning. Staff was wonderful. Can’t wait to come back and stay again.

By far my favourite hotel/hostel of my 3 months trip through Asia. The interior is very well decorated and well maintained. The room is nice with an amazing (seperated) shower. It is also very spacious with a nice bed and good airconditioning. The location is very nice, literally right around the corner of the famous Michelin star streetfood restaurant, but also reasonably close to many attractions and a 7-11. The staff is very friendly and the welcome drink, free water and some sweets is very nice. The laundry service is also excellent, a very good price and very fast. There is also a ton of recommendations and information about the city which is just wonderful. The cafe was not our favourite but there are plenty of options in the area. I definitely recommend this place!

I usually do not leave reviews, but I had to take the time to write this because I am beyond grateful for Niras Hostel. We had an amazing experience residing at Niras, truly everything from the room, to the amenities, and people were excellent. Specifically, Niras went above and beyond as I had lost my baggage upon arrival and when I asked for there assistance in terms of making arrangements of its arrival, Niras was extremely helpful and were kind to make arrangements on my behalf. Thank you Niras, you absolutely are the best hostel of all time and your hospitality is unmatched. Till next time!

Very nice hostel to stay for a few nights. The location is perfect. We had the private room, very clean and spacious. The hostel itself is very calm. We also liked their cafe. Good coffee and breakfast options. All very stylish in a retro theme.
