At Home Guest House in Bangkok

Location is very close to Khaosan Road yet a very quiet place. I was there in Songkran and had a very peaceful and comfortable sleep. Room was ok....aircon was a problem as the remote was not working at all....and also internet was very very bad. I was there for 2 nights and couldn't work at all. Staff was nice and they have a very nice area at the entrance where you can sit and have a drink and chit chat. Overall I will recommend this guest house...but yes it is far from perfect.

Simple rooms good for a couple nights with a cafe onsite. Easy to get to the high street.

They offer private rooms with bathroom for a very cheap price. The beds are not the most confortable, but worth it a lot for the price.

It is just 2 minutes away from Khao San Road, but you dont hear a lot of noise.

A calm and quiet area with clean and neat room. I liked the stay very much and the staff is very friendly.

but clean and tidy , also have chair and table , hot water . Price 380 baht shower inside and fan on ceiling. Also nearby, a half-minute walk :) a cafe with good food and reasonable prices, Ethos vegetarian and vegan

We booked this place based on the reviews about it's cleanliness, friendliness and location plus we were only stopping overnight between the long Lomprayah ferry and coach ride up from Koh Tao before going to Pattaya and it is a 2 minute walk from where the coaches drop you off near Khoasan Road We arrived at 9pm and were greeted by the lady owner and, we believe, her son. Booking in took moments. She glanced at one of our passports but nothing more than that. Then her son led us up to out room, B301, via a quirky route. Shoes off once you step away from Reception. The hostel seems to spread across several buildings but throughout the floors are tiled with shining, clean tiles, the walls are clean and well maintained, it is all well lit. Our room was small, basic but clean. It had 2 single beds with flat pillows and a thin blanket and a pair of towels. The ceiling fan had 4 speeds. We discovered that 1 was the fastest and 4 the slowest. There was a shelf unit, a small table and a drying rack. There was no en-suite etc but in the corner of the corridor was a shared bathroom area that had two long toilet cubicles that doubled up as shower rooms and outside these two sinks and a mirror on the wall above. There was toilet roll in the room but bring your own shampoo etc. I had a cold shower but ask them as you go to the room how to get hot water if you'd like. Apparently some rooms have their own facilities. That night after a visit to the nightlife of Khoasan Road we both had an excellent night's sleep but our earplugs helped cut out the noise of the fan and Bangkok. In the morning we had breakfast in the restaurant area at the front which, again, is immaculately clean, nicely furnished and the food was great. There is 24hr access so don't panic if, like us, you get back at 2am and the shutter at the front of the restaurant is closed. There is a gateway at the left side which lets you up the side of the restaurant to the access hallway. Ultimately a great, good value hostel close to the main sites. With an 11am check out we were able to pack up but leave our bags in the room and chill in the restaurant area until out pre-booked taxi arrived at 11am.
