I feel sorry for this place. It could be an amazing place to relax. There’s so much potential but they are clearly in need of renovations.

The rooms are not very clean and our shower fell apart. The owners seemed very uninterested but with a lot of good will this might be due to the language barrier - it‘s nearly impossible to communicate with the staff.

One time we sat down at the „cafe“ and the owners clearly saw us but neither greeted us, nor did we get to order anything because after a few minutes they just closed the cafe and left without saying anything.

The breakfast is an absolute desaster with ants crawling on the food, everything sits and sweats in the sun for hours and it just looks unhealthy. Why not just offer breakfast a la carte?

All that was such a bizarre experience, that it‘s hard to describe. We were annoyed at first but then became worried about this place and the people here.

In the end we were happy to have helped support them by staying there. But I understand everyone that perceives this differently.

We spent two nights here as part of a private tour. Hotel is old and worn out. We were in room 9 and the two beds creaked every time you rolled in them which meant we both didn’t have a great sleep. Room seemed clean, shower design wasn’t well planned as all the water flooded the room. There were never any staff around. Breakfast was poor, a tray of precooked fried eggs and two stir fries. Which had all been left out in the metal trays for at least a few hours without being kept hot, or safely stored (we met one member of staff lighting up the heaters hours after breakfast started). There were only four guests in the hotel both nights so the hotel could have easily cooked fresh to order. If in the area again we would not stay here.

Very what a mess, is really not going to live, photograph with physically stop for the night different, the insect is a lot of very disgusting

Friendly and peaceful environment, good breakfast and garden area, spacious room and clean sleeping bed.

Booked and supplied credit card details to ensure bona fides was advised full payment to be made on arrival - they refused to accept Visa card. Had to go to exchange to get cash. Luckily I had cash with me, usually when I travel I use Visa. Other review mentioned "dining" - they have NO dining only breakfast (very poor) set out at 0700 so if you come later everything is cold. No coffee only packets with powder, milk powder & sugar. all food overrun with ants.
Asked for black coffee - "no have" ! Another review mentioned beer - from where? There is no service at all here. Room ok but cleaning not up to acceptable standard. Bathroom - no hot water, when showering the water goes everywhere - very dangerous. Shower fittings are all corroded.
Toilet seat not secured. Room safe just sitting on shelf, not bolted to anything so you could just pick it up and walk away ! The whole place needs maintenance.
No phone in room. Satellite TV but no international channels.
We were the only people staying here, very sad as it could be a good hotel.
Finally if anyone has mobility problems, you have to go up two very steep stairs to get to room, with luggage - almost impossible.
There does appear to be any staff, only saw same lady every day.
Room service ? Non existent - bed still unmade at 1700 hours despite "make up room" on door at 0900.
Probably much more, but simply will not be back and not recommended.

Stayed as part of our tour with the Tuk Tuk Club, which served as a nice basecamp for our first two days.
Beautiful, yet old fashioned, hotel.

Would not stay on my own, but was an ideal part of the trip with the Tuk Tuk Club.

This place is a gem, straight out of a Wes Anderson film and has all the charm you would expect in a film by him. Worth the trip, friendly staff and a great breakfast

Very good place! They work 24 hours, it really help us, because we spent 2 hours on mountains road and another hotels was closed at 8 o'clock in the evening.
Hotel stay in beautiful place and it's beautiful too, looks very expensive. Big room cost only 1000 bat. For this prise you have 2 beds - 1 for two people and another one smaller, clean bathroom, tv, hot tee and coffee, and breakfast at the morning!
But in the evening, there is nothing to eat, all places around was closed after sunset)
