Good hotel good staff good food , worth to stay

Nice and peaceful resort. Very relaxing and filled with activities to do. The staff are very friendly and respectful. The food is good and well priced. I would highly recommend coming to this resort

Such a lovely place! We stayed for 4 nights. We booked a 2-bed villa but ended up with a three-bed one, which was amusing – it felt like the bed took up half the villa! The beds and pillows were comfortable. The room was clean, and we didn't notice any insects. Our villa had a nice, comfy porch with cushions, perfect for lounging. You can borrow kayaks for free at the hotel. Throughout the day, complimentary tea, coffee (3-in-1), cocoa, and ice cream are available. The on-site restaurant is pretty good. There are beautiful fish swimming in the sea right by the hotel – at least 15 species – so definitely bring your snorkeling masks. We were really impressed with the hotel managers; they were incredibly accommodating. After checking out and leaving the hotel, we stayed elsewhere on the island but wanted to have dinner at this hotel's restaurant. Even though the hotel was 100% full and they were hosting a New Year's Eve party for their guests that day, the managers still found a way to seat us for dinner.

Just a heads-up, you can't reach the hotel by scooter or car, only by boat. If you're coming from the center of the island by road, you'll see a sign with the hotel's name before the bridge, and a phone number below it. You'll need to message that number on WhatsApp and ask them to send a boat. There's also scooter parking nearby.

Things to know beforehand: the hotel is very remote, and there's a longtail shuttle to get back to the main island. Everything is a bit dated, especially the bathroom.

The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I don't think the price/performance ratio is quite right.

It is a very relaxing place. It is recommended to stay for 2-3 days. We went there for too many days this time. The menu was the same for three meals a day, which was a bit greasy. To get to the island, you need to take a boat and rent a scooter. It is not convenient for us two adults and three children.

Captain Hook is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for peace and quiet. The villas are nice, we stayed in a room with its own mini pool. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel can help you arrange boat rides, scooters to rent, ferry tickets, etc. Some amenities the resort offers are massages, fire shows, snorkeling, kayaking, and skiing. You should know that there is no beach in front of the resort, but it’s a quick swim/canoe to the beach across from the resort. The restaurant and bar sits right on the water and offers various western and eastern options. We would definitely recommend the fried chicken wings! It was a great holiday and we would choose this resort again when we travel to Koh Kood in the future.

Every time I come to Koh Kood, I stay at only the Captain Hook resorts. This time I brought my elders with me. I couldn't book in time, so there was only Captain Hook, a pool suit room left. I usually come on weekdays, but this time I came during the New Year period. The weather was great, the sea was clear, and diving around the resort was the end. There were a lot of fish, medium, and large. The accommodation is suitable for those who like peace and quiet. There is no beach in front of the resort, but you have to kayak across, less than 50 meters.

This is literally the best resort to stay in the whole of Thailand. Better than six senses, four seasons etc. The service and the food is amazing, the whole place is beautiful, you will not find a more beautiful beach in the whole of Thailand than the beach in this resort and I have lived in Thailand for many years. I totally recommend it.
