It is not often that you find a place that makes you smile the moment you arrive but this place does. The staff without fail has smiles on their faces and were very willing to help from the start. We had an original bungalow which was small and basic but very well designed and suited us perfectly. The bed was very comfortable and the AC kept the room nice and cool. The food was very good and there is a lovely cocktail bar on the beach with a view of the sunset which helpfully coincided with happy hour! As with any hotel there were small gripes but nothing serious. What came through more was a place with charm and character which you cannot create or buy. We have already booked to return next year

Great location, good food, and a beautiful view of Ko Phi Phi. The long beach in front of the bungalows is perfect for a stroll, and in the evenings you can enjoy local food—what more could you want? The bungalows are clean, well-furnished, and absolutely authentic.

Beautiful island, beautiful place. Bungalows were nice but we didn’t even have proper shower gel. Location is amazing.

What has become of the beautiful, relaxed Joy? There was a change of management. What was once pure relaxation, a relaxed atmosphere, is now a place with elevator music on the beach, not much left of peace and the sound of the sea. It will now be a place like many others. What a pity, another paradise less.

Paradise on Koh Jum!
This was iyr fifth stay at Joy Bungalows since 2012 and we love it! The hospitality of the staff, the bungalow (VIP by the beach), the food at the restaurant, the almost empty 2-km beach beach... This is where we go for a relaxing time! This is our paradise!

Best beach front resort location on Koh Jum with white sand ocean bottom (no rocks like other resorts), best food on island hands down, quaint traditional Thai style bungalows to relax in, eat dinner on the beach. Enjoy my stay here.

My stay at Joy Bungalow has been absolutely amazing and wonderful. The beach is private and quiet, the staff is lovely, the food is great, and the room was nice and clean. I give my most heartfelt recommendations to this unspoiled paradise in Koh Jum.
