DARA Hotel - SHA Plus

The bed was soft and comfortable, but not that clean. There was a bottle of water from the previous guest on the headboard, and it was still there until the day we left. But nothing is more important than getting enough sleep. If you are looking for a quiet hotel, pls look for another hotel. This hotel only has Chinese people who are rude(no manner) and loud until midnight. In the morning at 7 am, they shout in front of other people's rooms.

I needed to be close to the mall for a meeting and someone suggested this hotel.
It is indeed close to the mall, but because of the location of the major highways, you risk your life trying to find a way to get over there. on foot.
I would have much preferred staying in a place closer to restaurants and take a grab over to the mall. I got in a little late and there was no place to walk to get food. I had to order grab food which was ok.
this morning I had the same problem because I don't like breakfast buffets at hotels , there was only one place for breakfast across the street and the food was so bad I couldn't eat it
The price here is OK the room was fine.
The hotel itself had a smell when I walked in which I was afraid was some sort of disinfectant. I woke with a terrible headache, and that usually happens when there's some sort of disinfectant or insecticide used which is toxic to my system.

I had an extremely disappointing stay at the Dara Hotel in Phuket, which unfortunately did not meet any of my expectations. Despite specifically booking a non-smoking room, I was greeted with a strong cigarette odor the moment I entered, which was particularly concerning as I am asthmatic. When I brought this issue to the attention of the reception, I received no assistance or sympathy, leaving me in a situation that could have seriously compromised my health.

Moreover, the overall condition of the room was below par, with all the equipment feeling outdated and as if it hadn’t been replaced or updated in years. The bathroom was another major letdown; it was evident that it hadn't been cleaned properly, further adding to my discomfort during my stay.

The only redeeming feature of this hotel is its location, being a minute away from the Central Phuket town Mall. However, this alone is far from enough to make up for the myriad of issues I encountered. It's disheartening to see such neglect and disregard for guest comfort and health standards. I strongly advise against staying here unless significant improvements are made.
