Tanawit House Hotel(ธนวิทย์ เฮาส์ โฮเต็ล) in Hua Hin

I stayed at this hotel for four weeks while working nearby and had mixed experiences. The staff were lovely and super helpful, and the location is great - just a 10-minute walk to the beach and Night Markets.

However, the room quality was subpar. The first room I stayed in was deplorable. Dirty bed sheets. Dusty air conditioning unit. Bathtub was super uncomfortable to shower in, and the bath faucet wouldn't turn off at night... the constant dripping was too much noise, and I couldn't sleep. The second room they moved me to was a little better, but I suspect mold is present in the AC units because I normally don't get sick, but started getting sick after using the AC system. There's a foul odor that comes out every time I shower. I just overall felt disgusted in the hotel. The lobby was shabby with old and outdated furniture and fittings.

As a seasoned traveler and army vet, I've stayed in some rough places, but this hotel was particularly bad. Some concerns:

- 1000 baht cleaning fee for limited service
- 3000 baht deposit for utilities
- Basic amenities like toilet paper, towels, and soap weren't provided
- Only one room key provided

I've heard this hotel is often used by a certain professional organization, and I'm surprised they continue to return despite past complaints. Transparency and accountability are key. Ultimately, I wouldn't recommend this hotel due to the room issues and extra costs. The staff were lovely, but that's not enough to outweigh the problems I experienced.

The water supply to the room was disgusting! The rooms were not cleaned and there was mystery sauce sprayed up the walls. Will never stay here again! Not even a kettle or toaster in the room, it was literally bare minimum for a long stay hotel!

We booked the hotel not knowing the condition. However upon check in, we were shocked to see that it is even worse than an motel. The air-con compressor is noisy and right at the paltry balcony. The balcony furniture is also dusty and delipidated. There is also limited parking space available. Would not recommend this to anyone unless you are looking for something dirt cheap - which is what you will get - literally.

On room arrival was welcomed by, peeling walls, broken panels, missing handles and poor shower drainage. As well as wardrobe door breaking completely off after gently opening it. I found out after 3 weeks there was mould in the air-conditioning unit hence what was making me sick. After I told staff and they cleaned it, the unit stopped producing cold air. I ended up having to change rooms due to the broken air- conditioning. The 1000 baht cleaning fees for only two room cleans. They took a 3000 baht deposit to use for water, electricity and aircon fees. Rooms didn't have toilet paper, towels, soap and regular cleaning. One room key per room.
