Baan Talay 51 in Hua Hin

We had a nice time at the resort overall – the location is great and the beach is truly beautiful, even though it could be a bit cleaner. Unfortunately, the sunbeds are very old and uncomfortable, which takes away from the relaxing beach experience.
The staff is very friendly and kind, but communication can be a challenge as most of them don’t speak or understand English well. Some basic English training would really make a big difference for the guest experience – and honestly, if I could help with that in any way, I would gladly do so.
We tried to speak with a supervisor (Aon) in a very respectful and friendly way about our dietary needs. We don’t eat pork and kindly asked if it could be kept separate from other food, especially chicken. They did make an effort the next day, which we appreciated, but by day 5, almost everything contained pork again. It became difficult to find food we could eat, especially since the meals were more or less the same every day. Having the same breakfast and similar options for 5 days wasn’t ideal.
I truly hope this feedback helps the team grow and improve, because the place has great potential. With a bit more attention to food variety, cleanliness, and guest communication, it could be a fantastic experience.
