Grand Sea Beach Resort in Thong Sala

Loved our stay here. A little bit dilapidated as mentioned but really great value for money when you consider the pool and beach access. Definitely head to the little beachside restaurant a short walk down the beach!

Happy. Was conveniently clos to Tongsalat and perfect for young adults moving to and fro from town.

We stayed in a very small house with a spacious veranda. It's obvious the hotel is old and in need of updating, but the location is absolutely beautiful!
You can rent a bike at the hotel; they take your passport as a deposit. The pool is especially nice – it's beautiful and deep, with a diving board. The staff is polite and friendly.

The 7/11, night market, and shops are a 10-15-minute walk away. The beach near the hotel is not suitable for swimming because the water is shallow. We reached all the beaches by bike.

We’ve had a fabulous stay at the grand sea with a cabin over looking the sea right next to the beach , the staff are very helpful and welcoming would definitely recommend staying here

Bathroom was really bad, the quality, the holes were bugs came in. And at the breakfast need better food containers because flies always were on them.

The hotel deserves praise on many levels: the rooms are spacious and cozy, the grounds are large and well-maintained, the staff is polite and helpful, there's a very decent beach nearby, and the island's main town, with banks, shops, and a night market, is just a kilometer away. The hotel restaurant isn't the cheapest, but the food is delicious.

The location of the accommodation is very good, close to the city, right on the beachfront. We loved the atmosphere of the place, the pool, the sea view, the abundance of plants, and the constant chirping of birds and other animals. The staff was kind and helpful. The buildings and rooms are in need of some renovation, but overall, we really enjoyed our time here.

We decided to include Koh Phangan in our holiday plans and booked a sea-view bungalow at the Grand Sea for a week in December 2022. The terraced complex had an overwhelming charm for us. The bungalows on the upper level are only accessible via rather steep stairs for those with good mobility. Our bungalow was on the ground floor, almost directly on the beach, with a fantastic view of the sunset. The resort buildings are showing their age and in need of renovation, especially our bathroom, which required some updating. However, the gardens are impeccably maintained, and the excellent condition of the pool, the friendliness of the staff, and the attentiveness of the management more than made up for it. Swimming in the sea is possible, with some limitations, so we often used the pool or went to other beaches. A moped can be arranged at the resort. Those who enjoy walking can certainly find a rental shop nearby (about a 10-minute walk). Breakfast was no surprise, a mix of Asian and continental options – but everything you need for a good start to the day was offered. If you're looking for relaxation and tranquility, the Grand Sea Beach Resort is the place to be. We would definitely choose it again for our next visit.
