Reviews
My friend and I were exploring the island and came across this hotel because it had a long pier called A Bridge to Dreams or whatever. It is an abandoned resort! We don’t understand why you’re still able to book on Agoda and online. Please save your money and stay elsewhere on the island. The photos on Google are catfish! It’s not maintained at all and has a creepy vibe.
We we're in the lucky Situation, that we don't had to stay there.
We just went there for visiting the long pier. We recognize that there is also an abanndoned Resort and we started to discover the lost place. We felt like in a Horror movie and started to explore everything. We didn't meet any personnel nowhere, so that we had once more the feeling, that it's abandoned. After discovering the whole Hotel including storages and empty reception, we moved on.
At the Info point at Koh mak we asked about the lost place and she told us that it's still in use.
Long Story short: DON'T BOOK
write more about this in my travel blog.
Upon arriving at the pier, there was nobody there to pick us up. We called to find out what the deal was, but nobody answered the phone, so we ended up getting a normal driver to take us. Halfway, we met with someone from the cinnamon resort, who didn't say anything upon meeting us.
When we got to the hotel, the reception only said that our stay didn't include free breakfast and told us where the swimming pool was, then morbidly showed us to our room.
I didn't realize that our rooms were the cheaper option without a seaside view. Our bedding smelled musty, the bathroom was dirty, and the room was small and felt uncared for.
We were the only customers during our 2 day stay (rainy season), but the huge resort felt like a ghost town with hardly any staff there either.
It just seemed everywhere you looked there was another thing that made you think "wow, that looks old" or "why haven't they thrown that away?" or "this hasn't been cleaned in a while".
It looks like it could be a wonderful resort if the staff was friendlier and they took care of the place. There's a huge pier you can walk on, some nice elements to the beach (though not great for swimming), and the food was okay.
I would recommend staying someplace else.
