Bhumiyama Plus in Chang Island

Great location on an amazing beach. Restaurants etc easy to walk to. Lovely pools. Breakfast is brilliant in the next door cafe. The rooms are big and have everything you need. Just a bit tired and run down but apart from that all good.

Bhumiyama Plus is a great place to stay. The rooms are a little (really not too bad at all) dated but nothing at all to be concerned about. The staff are friendly and the rooms are cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis. If you're booking expecting 5 star luxury I'm terms of everything being brand new then either readjust your expectations or book in a newer resort. For the money we felt this place was a great choice and we would definitely come again. The location is great. Lonely Beach is really pretty and not too busy. Part of the deal with Bhumiyama is that you have the Nature Rocks breakfast (next door, same owner) this is a buffet style breakfast but comprehensive and better than most hotel breakfasts with eggs made to order and a selection of fruit, veg, Thai options, pastries, coffee, juices, yoghurts, toast - something for everyone. There are two parts to the village, the nearest section at the left end of the beach with a choice of bars and restaurants and the part up the hill with more eating options, shops, ATM, pharmacy etc.... we would highly recommend Dang Seafood and also Nanny's. The walk up to Oasis off the main road is also well worth the effort for good food in a lovely tree top location. The really great thing about bhumiyama is the setting. Mature well kept gardens, great swimming pools which are well maintained, plenty of sun beds if you want them. Grassy areas for kids to run around. Then you have direct access to the beautiful beach which is really stunning. Amazing sunsets, views of the tiny islets nearby, jungle behind. Birds, butterflies, monkeys, local pets. The water is clean and a beautiful colour. Kayaks available from Nature Beach nextdoor. Paddle to the nearest island takes twenty minutes and is a good little adventure. There are rocky areas to both ends of Lonely beach which hold several species of fish. Bring some goggles. The Nature Rocks restaurant attached to Nature Beach Resort serves great food. Not the cheapest but well presented and a great menu that caters for everyone. Authentic Thai and western options available. There are other bars and massage available along the beach. Mimos bar is a good spot. Generally speaking, we couldn't have expected more the price we paid for this holiday. Lonely Beach, Bhumiyama Plus, Koh Chang, Bangkok, Thailand have been fantastic and we will be back for sure. Hopefully soon. It's been a perfect break. Don't dismiss this place when looking. It really is a gem. Excellent value and our experience has been so different to some of the other reviews - I really don't get how people can be negative about such a lovely place. We were slightly nervous but were not disappointed at all. It's a really great place. For families, couples and anyone looking for a relaxing, welcoming break away from the madness of the world.

30 years ago it has to be great hotel NR.1 on Koh Chang. Build from good honest materials, very moder (in that time) and thought out in details.

These day the hotel is asking for renovation and maintenance. Some times you feel like in an Urbex building.

The rooms are big with nice balcony.

The best think are the great swimming pools. Clean and big. Really very nice!👍

There is no breakfast or restaurant here. But you can easily call service (just touch a bell by the swimming pool) from another hotel, where you will get your breakfast as well.

We were satisfied with Bhumiyama!
But if you are looking for a nice new hotel you have to look anywhere else. You will be disappointed.

In the garden are many flowers and trees.

This part of Koh Chang has a punk and hippie feeling. On the beach are many small bars in this style. It is nice!

One another negative thing is the beach full of seaweeds. But to be fair every morning is coming gardeners and clean all falled leaves and seaweeds from the beach.

Hotel next door has better bar, but pool and beach is on the side of Bhumiyama. Rooms are spacious, clean, they could be a bit more modern - but for this price do not expect 60 inch tv. Overall - great staff, pool and design is amazing, and in total fantastic value for money. As I mentioned, hotel next door might have some points, but has a lot of rocks spoiling the beach access (whole 30 meters of width is bad for going in the sea). So, Bhumiyama is better :)

Most beautiful resort with the friendliest staff members. After a horrible experience with resorts around Koh Chang, we asked this resort if it is possible to accommodate a family member in a wheelchair, and they were more than accommodating. Not only did they show compassion, they were super helpful and extremely friendly.

Besides the great attitude all around, the resort is one of the most beautiful ones on Koh Chang. Would recommend anyone to pay this hotel a visit

We drove around looking for a place to stay for 4 nights and this place suited us compared to the other 8 we looked at . It's a little outdated but we are not fussy people, hot water worked and the toilet worked well. We were told they only opened in December and its short staffed. We ate lunch there and it was ok, breakfast was hit and miss not much selection omelets were good. There was no alcohol other than beer and they could work on making it better. Tammy was fantastic looking after us in the restaurant !! The yard man was also the bellboy and room cleaner we didn't get the coffee replenished and had to ask for the room to be cleaned, not the staffs fault. 1000 batt room key deposit is a little excessive. The pools are the best I've swam in anywhere we have been. Nice and quit and lots of places to eat.

The food is just amazing for the price ! And the quality of service match a 4*.

Old hotel in a swamp. Everything is falling apart. Bed obsharpannosti. The doors are not skryvayutsya, neither the input nor the toilet. Swollen. The toilet oilcloth is in room 6000 baht per night!!! The pool is not the first freshness.
Neighbouring the hotel is almost the same for 1400 baht a night.
+ watch out for sun beds, delicious restaurant, large green areas.
