Lazy Republique in Chang Island

We've had the suite, probably the only room with A/C. The downside is that it's sitting right on top of the main building which means directly at the street. The road may not be too frequented but still enough to feel a bit disturbed by the traffic. The owner is super friendly but we rarely saw her. Due to the low season the nice bar at nearby Lisca Beach was unfortunately closed, so lonely beach was the nearest place to go for us to have some drink and food at the beach.

It's laid back, comfortable and friendly. Set in beautiful gardens a short walk from a good sandy beach.

Perfect for me, solo traveller wanting a peaceful getaway at affordable price. Garden absolutely beautiful, so much effort. Very tranquil and serene, lots of water. Room was a cabin with bathroom and clockroom downstairs and balcony and bedroom upstairs with good size bed. Felt like I was right in the jungle but not critters got in! Towels and water provided. Owners ( husband and wife) pleasant , friendly and professional. I'd stay longer but travelling around, a great experience .

Simple style cozy bungalows, friendly people and a huge garden with various tropical plants, fish pond make the difference. Loved the cute little dogs. The distance from lonely beach is walkable but there is also a beach 5min from property. In Bailan one can easily rent motorbikes and eat at few of the local restaurants.

Beautiful place ! We were four, staying in a small bungalow for a night. The owners were really nice, the rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast was a pleasure, we wish we could have stayed longer !
The hotel is just 150m away from a small pretty beach.

We had a lovely stay here. Our room was a two storey block, with a downstairs bathroom and an upstairs bedroom. There was also a fridge downstairs. It was very sweet, set in the beautiful gardens of the hotel. We fell asleep every night listening to frogs croaking in the pond and cicadas singing in the trees. In the morning we had breakfast - freshly brewed coffee (really good!) and muesli with fruit and yogurt. The menu is quite nice.

The couple who run the hotel are very accommodating, helping us book a scuba tour and to print out our travel reservations. When we arrived they told us about local eateries and supermarkets, as well as how to access the nearest beach, 150m away.

Would recommend! And if we return to Ko Chang, we would come back here.
