Not recommended experience in the hammam and "wellness" lounge.
The prices are far too high for what is offered: the massage only lasted about ten minutes, and the hammam room wasn't even heated, making it extremely cold. Very disappointing.

SPA EXPERIENCE:

HUGE SCAM, AVOID!!!!!!!! 1 star is way too much for this CATASTROPHIC experience.

There were three of us and we wanted a 1-hour massage each. The spa manager told us it was possible, that the (poor) masseuse would massage us each one after the other since she was the only one working today. Very good.
We paid 230 dinars. That's 70 dinars x 2 for two relaxing massages and 90 dinars for a "special" massage. The price is obviously for 1 hour of massage each.

It was 4:45 p.m. at that point. The first person was going to get a massage. The masseuse came back 20 minutes later, at 5:05 p.m., to pick up the second person. At that point, we didn't quite understand, but it was okay.

The masseuse came back to get me at 5:35 PM, 30 minutes after the second massage started.

My turn, I was massaged from 5:40 PM to 6:05 PM.

You don't need to have a math major to figure out that between 4:35 PM and 6:05 PM, less than 3 hours had passed.

I won't say the massages weren't great, but it's a minor detail. And I don't want to blame the masseuse, the poor thing who complained about her pay throughout our "relaxing" massage. Anyway.

I then asked the manager how we were going to manage since we each paid for 1 hour, and we ended up only spending 20 to 30 minutes each. She got angry, the embodiment of bad faith. "You're a liar, you each worked an hour, you arrived at 4 p.m. and it's 6 p.m., so 4, 5, and 6 p.m. makes 3 hours."
So no, dear madam, between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. there were 2 hours, not 3, especially since we arrived at 4:35 p.m., which is different.

She yelled at me because she was sinking deeper into her lie and absolutely didn't want to give us any money back.
I kindly explained to her that we'd have to find a solution. She explained that "I noted in my notebook that you gave 230 dinars, so I can't give it back to you. Now it's recorded in the Tunisian Treasury."
So, given your dishonesty, I doubt it's reported to the Treasury, but whatever.

In short, the money was never returned to us; the manager is a thief and a liar.

There are hundreds of spas nearby, with real masseuses and honest people.

Today 23 June Karaoke evening with dinner at the Hotel Dar Salem (Djerba): a mashed cheese and rice served in a glass, a plate with a cold fish and a handful of rice served after 2 hours by a customer for lack of staff and a "spoon" of melted ice cream at a price of 25 dinars. None of the staff let alone a manager came to apologize for the poor service despite our complaints. I do not recommend it !!!
