The hotel is in the midst of bankruptcy. The beach and pool bars are closed, and the restaurant opens late to minimize food and drink consumption. The staff are on strike. It's getting worse every day. Alcohol is running out as late as 8 PM, despite the supply of everything. Even toilet paper wasn't available; towels were replaced only once a week, and that was forced. Rooms, depending on their location, weren't cleaned or made all week. Staff are scarce, and entertainment is practically nonexistent because the entertainers were working as a service staff, serving (or rather, providing) meals. Even the manager was picking up trash, especially disposable cups that had been blown away by the wind. There was no ice for the first two days, and then there was no ice because the supplier didn't deliver because they didn't pay for deliveries. Much more could be said here, but the service was good. They can't create something out of nothing, the chefs tried their best to cook something.

The stay was mediocre, the hotel rooms are shabby, dirty, and not air-conditioned. The staff pays no attention to customer dissatisfaction. I had booked for an 8-day stay, I had to leave the hotel after the 3rd day because the sanitary conditions are so terrible. The buffet is disgusting, everything is reheated for several days, we are not offered typical local dishes but rather disgusting pasta or nuggets. We were changed rooms 4 times, 3 without air conditioning, one with a leak. This hotel is scandalous, do not go there, run away.

Back in 2010, we've spent the new years eve here.
The party dinner at the hotel was special, and better than the the normal meals. Besides that, the rooms were reasonably well treated, specially the way the cleaning ladies used to prepare the bed, always with a sweet and an animal shaped blanket.
Not really sure how it is nowadays...
