Hotel La Residence Hammamet in Hammamet

The Hotel has a lot of potential but we had a really bad experience because of the room and the non existent service. Directly when we entered the room an extremely smell of humidity/moisture. It was pretty extreme we asked for something to remove the smell the reception guy told us that we had to wait till the next morning. Second huge problem… I don’t know who had the brilliant idea to install toi toilet between the bath and the wall and to add an external water tube over the wall… but the space was way too tight… and the valve was on our knee when we sat. When I say way too tight it’s way too tight legs fully closed and knee on the valve… we had only one towel and it wasn’t clean I went to the desk and asked for two new towels and extra ones for the water flooding cosed by the valve and the shower. He didn’t believe that we only had one shower towel haha he came back to the room and entered the room to verify haha… than I told him multiple time don’t forget the floor ones he’s was like yes yes but never brought them he just give us two shower towel not new neither… and left mad. Next morning we went to talk to a responsable to give them the chance to at least fix the smell issues and give us extra towel for the water flooding. And we asked the guy multiple times. He repeat every time yes their coming right now nobody never came to do anything… ps I speak Arabic with same dialect that was no language barrier issues.

It was awful experience for us all as family stayed at that hotel to attended a wedding, unfriendly staff, rudeness etc.

I was quite disappointed with my stay at Hotel La Residence in Hammamet. The hotel felt very outdated, with worn-out facilities that didn’t match the photos online. The breakfast was particularly underwhelming—not only was the selection limited and of poor quality, but there was also a man at breakfast who rudely questioned which room I was staying in, making me feel uncomfortable and as if my presence was being doubted. On top of that, the staff member responsible for making crepes would often disappear for long periods, leaving guests waiting or missing out altogether. The only redeeming part of the experience was the friendly reception staff, who were polite and welcoming.
