Tunis, Av Habib Bourguiba, 49 (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The location is great, being in the center of town, but the building and facilities are old. As you can see in the photo, the TV was still a CRT analog TV as of January 2025. The room was spacious.
It is perfect location in the city center. Easy to reach everywhere
A supplement of 8 dinars was requested
Stopped off for coffee during a Tunis trip. Yes it’s a little old fashioned, and - as with lots of places here - indoor smoking, but we had a warm welcome. Coffee was best I’ve had on the trip. Nice staff; good service. Location is very good, main strip near markets.
Great location and very kind staff, let me check in early and left me in peace for the duration of my stay. Hotel is a little dated and amenities are a little basic but it’s cosy and has nice views. Balcony door didn’t open but wasn’t too much of an issue. For the price and location this is a good option.
It is clean and tidy . .. staff are nice . I highly recommend it

The location, the parking facilities and 24 service makes it a good choice for us to stay over in Tunis
Very cost effective hotel. Convenient location and amenities. Front desk stuff are friendly. Overally very good
Fine! This hotel is in a good location, and the price is very fair. Not too much English spoken, but I am in their country. Wi-Fi could be iffy at times, but I wasn’t doing business. Over all I would stay there again, if I return to Tunis.
Clean hotel, spacious rooms, friendly staff. The only downside is the Wi-Fi
excellent hotel, good structure, restaurant could be improved, very good service, to be a 3 star the room should have a bathroom with more accessories, such as hairdryer, cap, etc.
It is good hotel in terms of value for money. We have stayed at this hotel over the last decade. It is good hotel in terms of value for money and location. We enjoyed the simple tasty breakfast. I would return to this hotel in the future. Please keep up the good work.

Great service and staff, from the driver who picked me up and dropped me off at the airport, to the reception front desk staff, very friendly, helpful and professional. Thank you,
Nice hotel this isn’t my first time 👍👍👍👍
Not bad at all. Especially cleanliness. Beds, clasical ibis, a bit too soft. Also, in the early morning when we were alrwady in the car driving to the airport, the staff member came running to us saying we have to pay something. My husband went up and he just said, oh yeah, all payed. How about not stressing your customers at 4:30 am? Have a list of the rooms that had charges open, and check immediatelly...
I stayed at the Ibis Hotel during my visit to Tunisia and I was really impressed. The breakfast was especially excellent — fresh products, delicious variety, and friendly service made for a perfect start to the day. The hotel’s location is very convenient, close to many key spots in the city. Everything was clean, comfortable, and the staff were very attentive. I definitely recommend this hotel!
Our stay at Ibis hotel for 6 days was awesome. Welcomed by competent staffs, rooms were clean and good breakfast. We also appreciate the recommendations from the staff that helped in the city adventure. Special thanks to Nermine and Safa.
The hotel is good for one night at most. The mattress and bed are separate, constantly rolling up, making it uncomfortable to sleep. Breakfast isn't bad, but you have to get it before 8:00, as they don't refresh it after each course. Restaurant prices are several times higher than in the city (drinks 3-4, meals 4-5) and aren't particularly high quality. I was charged a tax upon check-in and a second...

Staff not friendly, checking in was a nightmare door keys not working, dingy dark areas in corridors, lifts lights not working, vending machine not working, rooms and utilities not as they appear in pics food breakfast was average ,language barrier, noisy, very strict to have visitors,a place i will not return to. Only good thing was airport shuttle on departure day
For those who complain about traffic noise. All hotels on busy areas will have noise. Don't be angry with the hotel. They cannot control traffic noise. How about investing in earplugs. I bring them everywhere, just in case. Get over yourself. When you leave for the day How about placing the card on the door to have your room cleaned!! How about mentioning it to the reception when leaving for the...
My stay at Ambassadeurs Hôtel was quite pleasant. The service was attentive and professional, with the staff always ready to assist with any requests. They made sure I felt welcome and comfortable throughout my stay. The facilities were well-maintained and offered everything needed for a relaxing experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated, providing a cozy environment to unwind...
Honestly speaking. It's good for the cheap price but could be a bit cleaner. Lifts are old and the lift door sensor dnt really work do doors squash on u. The room I requested when booking, wasn't the room I got. However, it was a massive room with queen size bed and a double, which were quite comfy. Bathroom bath too messy, it's like they patch painted bits of it. You can hear every noise from...
Hotel not bad good as rate to value For budget hotel is recomnded Location is nice Good for business and group trip
The bed is too old 😁😁😁 Its not even comfortable anymore It's like sleeping in the ship 😎 I know it's cheap, but, lucky me only 3 days 😁 But it is clean around old furniture Towels are clean, the shower is good, and there is very strong water,. Very good, I recommend staying here again. This time I chose this hotel on the spur of the moment for my flight visa. The environment and other aspects were very good. I hope it will be more affordable next time. It's also easy to find.
No issues with the staff. Issues with visitors that have no respect for other people that stay st the hotel. You are not at home, have some class. We don't need to repeatedly have to tell you to stop signing and talking out loud for the whole hotel to hear you. Common room is for all that stay at the hotel. Do not barricade the door or tell others they cannot usd because you want to have a personal...

amazing place! I would definitely stay again!
Dar El Medina is such a special place — full of history and right in the middle of the Old Medina. My room had that traditional Tunisian style I love, and the rooftop terrace has an incredible view over the city. Breakfast was amazing. It’s not a buffet, but a big sit-down meal that was so good (and so much food) I usually skipped lunch after. The Wi-Fi worked great and the shower had strong water...
Staff was very helpful, they all spoke English very well too which was convenient. The place is very nice, well maintained, and easy to get around/to the Medina market. We had dinner at the roof top restaurant and the food was delicious.
Memorable wonderful stay in a most unique, quiet and safe property in the historic Medina. Perfect for adventurous travelers, not the Marriott crowd. Incredibly friendly and attentive staff made the stay simply wonderful. Highly recommend having dinner at the rooftop restaurant as well, and coordinate airport transfer with the hotel to avoid airport taxis. Enjoy the Medina!
Staying at this hotel was a wonderful experience—it’s a true gem, originally a historic home that’s been tastefully transformed into a boutique hotel. The design and ambiance are full of charm and artistic detail. Everything was impeccably clean and carefully maintained. The overall atmosphere was relaxing and refined. The receptionist was extremely judgy as I was looking a bit tired and disheveled after a 10 hour road trip to Tunisia. I wanted to extend my stay but they told me they were fully booked. Hotel's location is perfect but the staff is a bit standoffish. Anyhow, here's a picture of my dog
Everyone was really friendly. Really good value for money. Airport transfer was amazing. Thanks so much !
The location is good and the staff are helpful but it is very noisy and the cleanliness is poor as shown in the pictures.
Great location, and if you have a sweet tooth, the breakfast is quite good. Room amenities are just okay.
The man working between 5 PM and 8 PM is a terrible service provider. This one person is ruining the hotel's image. 1. The restaurant is closed. So, he says he can't provide towels or anything. 2. The staff is very friendly and professional. The room is typical for a downtown medium sized hotel: it stretches to accommodate all the essentials, but don't expect extra space. Also, it's dark since the lights are intended to create an atmosphere but it's hard to see if it's properly clean, which I'm afraid it's not: I found both long and ***** hair on the duvet, which is a total no go. Moreover,...
Friendly stuff , the bed was not very comfortable, found a few bugs in the room , location was ok , the hotel feel safe enough surrounded by lots of Police on the street

A well-located old hotel with good value for money and a friendly front desk.

The hotel is wonderful, located in the heart of Tunis, near the theater. It's clean, has a street view, and a balcony. The breakfast is excellent. I highly recommend it.
Great location, great stuff, but if there was a small table and a fridge at the rooms would be really better…. High recommended ☺️👌
Good location. Small room. Clean and equiped

Very clean, and highly friendly staff towards my Goth Wife and her Goth friend. Beds were very comfortable. Free Breakfast was reasonable, various options of coffee or juice. Only down side is the lack of an Elevator. If you are Alternative this place is a good choice. All staff were friendly, desk, cook, and housekeeping are all welcoming. Only 3 staff shockingly it seems.
It was ok for one night. The location is the best. Quiet, peaceful and right in the center

Incredible house…. A veritable palace! The interior is decorated with countless museum worthy pieces, and the owner Leila has installed a wonderful museum of tile in the basement. We were thrilled to have lunch with her during our stay. We had a reservation for the Four Seasons later in our trip, but canceled it in favor of returning here!
A beautiful and really welcoming small hotel in the Medina, filled with wonderful things, especially the Tunisian ceramics. Very comfortable rooms, kept spotlessly clean and very friendly and helpful staff. It is a quiet and peaceful place with a terrific roof terrace and dramatic views across the Medina and Tunis beyond. It is a memorable and lovely place to stay, very reasonably priced.
Incredibly warm and helpful staff, and a beautiful space with stunning historic details — especially in the common areas. We liked being so centrally located in the Medina, and the breakfast was generous and delicious.
The location was very good. Close walk to many attractions. The breakfast room and the quality of the breakfast was excellent. Youssef was a great host and helpful to our requests and needs.
A genuine staff with very interesting art throughout the grounds. Very convenient walk to the souk. Fantastic terrace if the weather cooperates. For those unaccustomed to travel in the area, the alleys at night will provide both a sense of adventure and intrigue. Don't let the gritty night walks scare you off.
The hotel is located in the heart of the old city, with an antique atmosphere. You can watch the sunrise and sunset from the rooftop, which is very pleasant. Strolling around the old city, getting around is very convenient, very satisfactory!

I enjoyed staying at Hotel Lafayette for my last night in Tunisia. I actually booked another hotel just up the road for the previous night, but it was a bit rough so changed for my last night. Rooftop bar with a nice view on the main street of tunis , affordable prices , good service, but gets crowded on the weekend , no real food options more like snacks (pizza and chicken wings) , avoid booking a room and staying at the hotel it's outdated and gets noisy, but the rooftop bar is worth it
Best places to spend the night for short, stay all local shops are around, not too far away from centre of town
Average 3 star hotel near the city center. A good place to crash, but that's all. A train station is nearby from which you can easily reach the coastal towns of Goulette, Carthage and La Marsa.
