If I could give a ZERO star review I would. This place treated us with the worst levels of respect and took advantage of tourists like us. They over-charged us for the transportation and asked us to pay with an inflated exchange rate. After paying them regardless, they refused to host us and let us into our hotel rooms that we booked online. I was traveling with my mother and he let us, two women, out the door around 10pm at night. It’s the worst treatment and manipulation from a hotel. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND OR DO THIS TO ANYONE.

Amazing hotel! The location is perfect in the old city center. The view is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and professional. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended!

The hotel has a very nice and authentic architecture. The location is very nice with the views of Kızılırmak. The breakfast of the hotel is also quite generous and delicious.

Hotel location is center of The Avanos, view from rooms very good. Stuffs are calm and kind. Service, breakfast also good. They offered coffee and beer us for free. When we checked out they gave some magnets/souvenirs as a gift. We are so glad to have our holiday in Sofa Hotel.

Family room'da kaldık ve çok memnun kaldık. Odalar taştan olduğu için gün boyu serindi. Aile odasını ayıran kapının oluşu da bir avantajdı. Kahvaltısı çesit olarak oldukça zengindi. Konum olarak da çok sakin ama merkezi bir yerde. Ailecek konakladığımız bu otelden oldukça memnun ayrıldık.

This hotel is a little gem- traditional and cosy. Takes you back in time. The decor and collection of old artifacts is beautiful. Conveniently located in the town of Avanos just off the main road and very quiet.
We stayed for two nights in an accommodation for four people - the rooms were clean and filled with an interesting collection of old artifacts. The beds were comfy and shower room was large and clean.
The hotel staff were very friendly and polite. They helped with a last min booking for a hot air balloon ride, recommended some good local restaurants and also allowed us to check out late.
The breakfast was also very nice

Sofa is like a museum with the most amazing collection of medieval artefacts. We have never stayed anywhere like it - it was a wonderful experience.

Sofa Hotel is one of the most beautiful and unique hotel we have ever stayed. The entire facility is just stunning and filled with rich history. You can feel the hearts and soul poured into this beautiful hotel. The family run hotel actually has family members living in it. They were a part of the team and always nice and helpful to the guests.
The staff was warm, extremely helpful, and speaks perfect English. The location is perfectly situated away from all the bustling attractions with overpriced restaurants, but just within the walking distance to many amazing local foods and riverside walkways.
The breakfast was the best we have ever had during our 4-day stay in Cappadocia. Forget about the big Turkish breakfast that would cost you a fortune. Stay with Sofa Hotel and enjoy the best breakfast you can ever have. 10/10 would visit again if I am visiting Cappadocia (it even could be the reason why we return to Cappadocia).
