Kalamar Hotel in Kalkan

This property has arguably the best views in all of Kalkan. The staff are absolutely lovely- personable and kind.
The only gripe is that some facilities are not quite up to scratch at that price point.
Would still go back in a heartbeat.

Otel beklediğimizden iyiydi. Sadece konaklayacak yer olsun diye tutmuştuk ancak havuzunu çok beğendik. Kalkan'da çok iyi bir konumdaydı. Çalışanlar çok nazik ve yardımseverdi. Kahvaltı çok zengin olmasa da yeterli, taze ve temizdi. Kalkan tatili için kesinlikle tavsiye ederim.

We had mixed thoughts about booking this hotel due to some of the reviews. We decided to go ahead and book and our stay was amazing. The views are stunning and the infinity pool is incredible. There is a beach club a short 5min walk down the hill which is lovely (Kalamar Beach Club) and they have a shuttle that takes you back to your hotel. Our air con wasn’t working so we went up to tell the staff at breakfast and by the time we’d eaten breakfast they had already fixed it and put it on. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Kalkan is about a 25 min walk but we tended to get taxis which the receptionist calls for you and the taxis arrive very quickly. They are 220 TL into Kalkan. Breakfast is fairly simple. There is so much to do in Kalkan and all of the restaurants have stunning views and amazing food. The Turkish people are also super friendly and welcoming.

Our family stayed at Elixir Hotel, Kalkan in August 2024 and it was superb. Elixir is a family run boutique hotel with a lovely, large shaded swimming pool set in beautiful mature garden. There is a welcoming, authentic bar/restaurant serving where all the food is tasty and fresh, including an on-site baking oven in the garden producing all sorts of delicious breads and pizzas. Lovely views and a 3-4 minute taxi into town centre. The hotel is run by owner Ali who is charming and his young team who were all super kind, enthusiastic and attentive. A well deserved 5 Stars.

This review is quite late, but here it is. We booked a dublex room for our honeymoon at the Kalamar Hotel in October 2017 after seeing the beautiful pictures of the hotel online. The dublex room was pretty comfortable with a living room and shower downstairs and bedroom with a balcony upstairs, where you can see the amazing view. We used the laundry service which was super-fast. Our room was cleaned spotless every day. Breakfast had a big variety and every morning they prepared our omelette with the ingredients we wanted! We really enjoyed our breakfast right next to the amazing view of the Mediterranean but watch out for the bees. The staff was very helpful with giving us suggestions on places to see. We didn’t get to try the infinity pool due to cool weather but it looked great.
We would like to especially thank to Huseyin Bey, the owner of the hotel who upgraded us to one of the best rooms in the hotel after hearing that we are on our honeymoon. We woke up to a spectacular view of the Mediterranean. We felt very welcome by Ceylan and Kemal for their genuine conversations. When we first arrived to the hotel, both me and my husband had a pretty bad cold. Special thanks to Erdogan Bey, he gladly sent to our room a comforting meal even though the kitchen was not open just yet. He was super friendly, kind and helpful throughout our stay. The rest of the staff were lovely and showed great hospitality during our stay. We loved our stay and the stunning views and would recommend Kalamar hotel to everyone!
